Candidates who appear in TG SET 2025 must qualify both Paper I and Paper II with a minimum aggregate of 40% for General (Unreserved) category and 35% for reserved categories (SC/ST/BC/PwD/Transgender). Step 1: Out of the total number of candidates appearing for the TG SET exam, only 6% of the candidates will be selected. Let us suppose if the total number of candidates appeared for both papers is 36000, then the number of candidates who are selected will be:
6% of 36000 = 2160
Step 2: The seats will be further divided among the candidates based on the different reservation categories.
Step 3: The candidates must score a minimum of 40% in both the papers for the General Category and 35% in both papers for other reserved category candidates in order to get eligible for selection.
Step 4: The TG SET examination board takes into account the given below method to specify how many candidates will be selected for a specific category:
Number of Candidates to be qualified for a given category = A x B/ C
Where A = Number of candidates from a specific category obtaining the minimum passing marks
B = Total seats reserved for the respective category
C = Number of students from the respective category obtaining the minimum passing marks over all other categories
