TG SET Result 2025

The TG SET 2025 Result will be released by Osmania University on the official websites telanganaset.org and osmania.ac.in. The official notification for TG SET 2025 was released on 30 September 2025 and the exam was successfully conducted on 22, 23, and 24 December 2025 in CBT mode. Following the exam, the provisional answer key, master question paper, and response sheet PDF were released on the official portal. The objection window was open from 08 January 2026 (3:00 PM) to 11 January 2026 (11:00 PM). The final answer key and result are yet to be declared and will be available on telanganaset.org once released. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website regularly for updates.

Procedure and Criteria for Declaration of TG SET Result 2025

Certain steps will be followed by the authorities to declare the results among the hundreds of candidates who will appear for the exam: 

Step I: The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates who appeared in both papers of TG-SET.

Step II: The total slots shall be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of the Government of Telangana:

1. A reservation of 33.3% of slots in favour of women candidates in each subject and each category. The above reservation shall not be applicable if women candidates selected on merit in each category exceed 33.3%. If a sufficient number of women candidates are not available in the respective categories, those slots shall be diverted to the men candidates of the same category.
2. There shall be horizontal reservation for Persons with Disability (PWD) candidates in each category (OC/BC/SC/ST/Transgender) in each subject to the extent of 3 %.

Step III: To be considered for ‘Eligibility for Assistant Professor/ Lecturer’ the candidate must have appeared in both the papers and secured at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for General (Unreserved) category candidates and at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for all candidates belonging to the reserved categories (viz., SC, ST, BC, & PwD) and Transgender.

Step IV: The number of candidates to be declared qualified in any subject for a particular category is derived as per the following methodology, illustrated below:

*Number of candidates to be declared qualified for Eligibility for Assistant Professor in the subject ‘Economics’ for any given category = A x B/ C

(A) Number of candidates belonging to the SC category who secure at least 35% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together for the SC category for ‘Economics’ as per Step II

* =__________ -________ -_______ -_______ -_________ -__________ - x (B) Total slots derived (say) for the Scheduled Caste (SC)

(C) Total number of candidates belonging to the SC category over all subjects who secure at least 35% aggregate marks in both papers taken together

The aggregate percentage of the two papers corresponding to the number of slots arrived at shall determine the qualifying cut-off for Eligibility for Assistant Professor in ‘Economics’ for the SC category.

Similar yardsticks shall be employed for deriving the subject-wise qualifying cut-offs for all categories. It may be noted that the above qualifying criteria decided by TG-SET are final and binding.

1. Visit the official website or click on the direct link specified above.

2. On the homepage, click on the link for TG SET 2025 result.

3. Enter the details such as application number, password, etc. when prompted.

4. Click on submit.

5. The page with the candidate’s result will be displayed on the screen.

6. Candidates must download the scorecard for the exam for the counselling process.
