WB JECA 2024 counselling process will commence tentatively from September 2024 in the online mode. Candidates who have qualified the WB JECA 2024 exam will only be able to take part in the WB JECA counselling 2024. In order to participate, candidates have to first register themselves for the WB JECA 2024 counselling process and mark their choices of their preferred colleges. On the basis of the choices marked by the candidates, the authorities will release the WB JECA seat allotment results. WB JECA Counseling 2024 Documentation Requirements

Candidates are instructed to keep the following documents ready before registering for the WB JECA 2024 Counselling -

• WB JECA application form printout
• WB JECA rank card and admission card
• WB JECA counselling registration printout
• One authentic identity document
• 4 pictures in passport size
• Class 10 diploma
• Grade report for class 10 (age proof)
• Grades for class 12
• University registration certificates, SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B/ PwD certificates, and UG mark papers for courses that were passed (if applicable)
• Certificate of domicile (if applicable)

All of the aforementioned must be completed in original form and with a self-attested copy (Photocopy)

Registration for WB JECA Counselling 2024

Candidates can register for WB JECA Counseling 2024 by following the instructions below:

• Go to the official website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board 
• To register for counselling, select the window “WB JECA counselling 2024”
• Put in your WB JECA 2024 application number, roll number, and birthdate
• As instructed, enter the security pin
• Select "Register"
• Candidates must fill out their chosen college and course options after registering for counselling. The candidates' preferences will determine how the seats are distributed

Important Points regarding WB JECA 2024 Counselling

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list are called for counselling for admission in institutions in West Bengal in the month of August (tentatively). The detailed counselling process is given below:

• Qualified candidates have to fill up the counselling application form by downloading it from the official website of WB JEEB. WB JECA counselling fee should be deposited by the candidates in the prescribed manner.

• Candidates have to pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 506/- through the duly filled-in E-challan at any branch of Allahabad Bank. Candidates are requested to bring the Board’s copy of the e-challan with them on the day of counselling.

• On the declaration of the WB JECA result, the merit list is published by WBJEEB. WB JECA counselling status/schedule is posted on the official website to intimate the candidates.

• If any candidate is unable to appear for the counselling in-person owing to valid reasons under exceptional circumstances/medical ground, his/her parents/ guardians may be permitted to appear for the counselling on his/her behalf with the following documents.

• An authorisation letter from the candidate attesting the signature of his/her parent/guardian.

• Medical Certificate from a registered practitioner.

Other important points to be noted:

• Candidates are required to be present positively half an hour before the specified time slot for their counselling.

• Candidates should note that allotment of a seat in any University/Institute by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board is completely Provisional and is subject to fulfilment of the eligibility and other criteria specific to the allotted University / Institute for admission to the MCA course.

• If the candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria, then his/her allotment can be cancelled at any stage at the time of verification.

• Candidates belonging to states other than West Bengal are not considered for admission to Government Engineering colleges.

• Reservation of seats for Reserved category (SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) ) is applicable to the candidates of the State of West Bengal only. SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates of other states cannot avail of this facility.

• For Government and Government aided Engineering & Technological Colleges, the reservation of seats for SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates is as per Government Rules.

• For Universities / University Departments reservation rules in case of SC / ST / PWD / OBC (A) / OBC (B) candidates of the concerned Universities are followed.

• The appearance of a rank in the counselling schedule does not guarantee a seat in any University/Institute. Counselling for allotment of seats is stopped as soon as the last vacant seat is filled up and no further queries in this regard are entertained.

• The claim of a candidate to exercise option is limited to the vacancies prevalent at that instant when his/her turn comes for appearing before the counselling officials.

• The option has to be exercised at the time of counselling. Once the allotment of a seat in any University/Institute is done, no further change of the University/Institute is entertained.

• No refund of the counselling fee is admissible.

• Candidates are required to take admission to the allotted University/institute within five days from the date of allotment.

WB JECA 2024 Seat Allotment

WB JECA Seat Allotment 2024 will be done as per the options filled by the candidates after each round of WB JECA Counselling 2024. The authorities will release the WB JECA 2024 seat allotment result in online mode. Candidates who are assigned a seat must confirm their admission online by logging in and physically reporting to the assigned institute to complete the admission procedure.
