WB JECA 2022 Eligibility Criteria

WB JECA 2022 eligibility criteria for each institute is different. Candidates should ensure that they fulfil the WB JECA 2022 eligibility before applying for the entrance exam. The various parameters accepted by various institutions are given below:

Age Limit

  • There is no age limit for any candidate to apply for WB JECA 2022.

Nationality

Qualifying Norms

Candidates applying for WB JECA 2022 should meet the following qualifying criteria.

Norm 1:

  • Candidates should have 3 years of Bachelor's Degree with at least 60% in honours/ aggregate and 45% for Reserved category (SC/ST) from UGC/ AICTE recognised university or Candidates should have a BCA degree with 60% marks for General category and 45% marks for reserved category (SC/ ST) candidates.

  • Candidates should have secured at least 60% marks (45% for Reserved category in secondary and higher secondary or equivalent from any recognised board.

  • Candidates should have 60% marks in Mathematics at each level.

Norm 2:

  • Candidates should have 3 years of Bachelor’s degree from UGC/ AICTE recognised, except BBA. Candidates should have Mathematics as a compulsory subject at 12th standard or Graduation level.

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 50% marks at the Graduation level.

  • The authority gives relaxation of 5% marks for Reserved categories candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC - A/ OBC – B).

Norm 3:

  • Candidates should have a Graduation or equivalent degree in any stream from UGC recognised university/ Institute or BE/ B.Tech/ BCA from any AICTE recognised university or institute.

  • Candidates should have Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the Graduation level.

  • The minimum qualifying marks for the General category is 60% marks and 45% for Reserved categories ((SC/ ST/ OBC - A/ OBC – B)) candidates.

Norm 4:

  • Candidates should have a B.Sc degree in any subject with 60% marks for the General category (45% marks for reserved category) and 55% marks in Mathematics from a UGC recognised university/ Institute.

  • Candidates should have secured 60% marks in classes 10 and 12and should have Mathematics at each level.

WB JECA 2022 Reservation Criteria

WB JECA reservation is available for different categories i.e. SC/ ST category, OBC-A/ OBC-B category, PwD (Persons with Disabilities) Category.

The relevant certificates should be uploaded at the time of the WB JECA 2022 registration process and also have to be produced for verification during the WB JECA 2022 counselling.
