The Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET) 2020 exam was for admission to various UG/ PG/ M/Phil and Ph.D. DUET 2020 was held from 6th to 11th Sep 2020. The exam was conducted smoothly among the ongoing pandemic. DUET 2020 Result has been released by NTA on 14th October 2020.

The University of Delhi or Delhi University (DU) is one of the top universities in India, which offers admission in various UG courses through the DUET entrance test. Who Will Conduct DUET 2020?

Until 2018, DU UG entrance exam or DUET exam was conducted independently by the University of Delhi. Beginning 2019, National Testing Agency (NTA) had taken over conducting the DUET entrance exam for admission to DU UG courses. NTA was established by Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) for conducting entrance exams of various bodies/ universities. Many popular national-level entrance exams in India will be conducted by the NTA like:

Yes, DUET is conducted for admission to the colleges affiliated by the University of Delhi.

Do I have to present in Delhi to appear in DU?

No, you are not required to come to Delhi for appearing in DUET. The exam centres for DUET are present in over 18 cities across the country. Some of the DUET exam centres are Bhopal, Patna, Jaipur, Chennai, Varanasi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Ranchi, Jammu, Mumbai, etc.

When do DUET registrations begin?

The registrations for DUET usually begin in the month of May. Although, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the registration for DUET this year were delayed.

Does Delhi University conduct DUET?

Up until 2018, Delhi University was the conducting body of DUET but since 2019, NTA (National Testing Agency) has begun conducting the examination.

What is the eligibility criteria for DUET?

The eligibility criteria for DUET is different for every course. Since all the courses applicable are at the undergraduate level, candidates should have completed Class 12 in the relevant stream from a recognised university. The minimum percentage required varies for different courses. It ranges between 45% to 75%.

How many questions are asked in the DUET examination?

Candidates are asked a total of 100 questions in the DUET examination.

Is DUET exam conducted in an online mode or offline?

The DUET exam is an online exam or computer-based test (CBT).

Is there negative marking in the DUET exam?

Yes, for every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted from a candidate's total DUET scores.

How much is the application fee for DUET?

The DUET registration fee varies for different categories. For SC/ ST/ PwD/ EWS categories, it is INR 100. For Merit-based courses for UR/ OBC categories, it is INR 250. For ECA/ Sports students, there is an additional fee of INR 100, INR 300 for Entrance-based courses for SC/ ST/ PwD/ EWS category students and INR 750 for each Entrance-based course for UR/ OBC category students.
