GITAM Admission Test 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Meeting the eligibility requirements for GITAM GAT 2022 is a must for candidates wishing to apply for the examination. These are basically a set of rules and requirements that one must fulfil to be considered eligible for the application process and to sit in the examination. Those who fail to meet the criteria are not allowed to apply for the examination. If by chance, these candidates anyway submit the application, their application stands cancelled. 

Eligibility Criteria of GITAM GAT 2022 in Detail

To be eligible for the examination, the candidate has to meet the following eligibility criteria for the applied programme:

GAT (UGTP) Eligibility Norms:

  • Candidate should pass the class 12th examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks for B.tech and 50% aggregate marks for B.Arch./B.Pharm in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognised Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2022 or 2021 and Rank secured in GAT (UGTP)-2022.
  • Candidates with PCM/PCB group are eligible for B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Pharmacy with 60% aggregate marks in the group and First Class/equivalent grade.

Note: Those who want admission in the B.Arch programme should qualify in NATA / JEE (Main) paper-2.

GAT (PGTA) Eligibility Norms:

  • Candidates should have First class or equivalent grade in the Qualifying Examination from recognised university/institutes with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks for M.Tech and 50% aggregate marks for M.Arch and rank secured in GAT (PGTA) 2022.

Note: GATE qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for GAT (PGTA) - 2022, however, they need to apply for admission and have to attend counselling as per the schedule.

GAT (PGP) Eligibility Norms:

  • Candidate should pass B.Pharm from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade and rank secured in GAT (PGP) - 2022.

Note: GPAT qualified candidates are exempted from appearing for GAT (PGP) - 2022, however, they need to apply and have to attend counselling as per the schedule.
