HPCET 2022 Counselling Process

Himachal Pradesh Technical University conducts the counselling for HPCET candidates. The counselling process takes place after the declaration of HPCET 2022 Result and Merit List. Candidates who will have successfully qualified in the entrance exam will be called to participate in the HPCET 2022 counselling process. Allotment of seats will be done according to the ranking and preference of the qualified candidates.

For HPCET 2022 counselling, qualified and eligible candidates have to register online. Additionally, for the seat allotment, candidates have to report in person for the counselling of HPCET and make the payment of tuition fees at the allotted institute. As part of the HPCET counselling process, candidates have to produce all the necessary documents for the verification process.

Note:

• HPCET 2022 counselling process will be conducted separately for the qualified candidates of HPCET 2022 and JEE Main 2022.

• If any candidate fails to confirm his/her allotted seat, it leads to the cancellation of the allotted seat.

• Qualified candidates will have their names in the merit list issued by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU).

HPCET 2022 Counselling Procedure

Selection for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses is done on the basis of the rank secured in the merit list of HPCET. It is important for the candidates to know that the procedure followed for the counselling process will remain the same for all the subjects. Counselling procedure for JEE Main 2022 candidates and HPCET 2022 candidates will be the same. However, both the process will take place separately at a different allotted time.

HPCET 2022 Counselling: Registration Process

• To sit for the HPCET 2022 counselling process candidates first need to register themselves.

• This registration will be done through online medium.

• Qualified candidates must fill in the registration form available on the official website of Himachal Pradesh Technical University.

• Candidates are required to complete the registration process before the commencement of the counselling process.

• Fill in the required details and attach the relevant documents.

HPCET 2022 Counselling: Document Verification

• The documents submitted by candidates at the time of the registration process will be verified under the document verification process.

• Candidates must carry all the original documents, photocopies of which have been submitted by the candidates.

• Any fault found during the verification process might lead to cancellation of the candidature.

HPCET 2022 Counselling: Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

• The allotment of seats for HPCET is done on the availability of seats, verification of documents, eligibility criteria for admission, etc.

• At the time of the registration process, candidates must fill in their choice of institution and course to lock their seat. The final call, however, will rest in the hands of the concerned authority.

• 50% of the total seats are reserved for both HPCET 2022 and JEE Main 2022 candidates.

• Seat allotment for HPCET 2022 and JEE Main 2022 candidates will take place in two rounds.

HPCET 2022 Counselling: Fee Submission

• Candidates seeking admission through JEE Main 2022 exam will be asked to pay the counselling fee. However, HPCET 2022 candidates do not need to pay any counselling fee at the time of the counselling process.

• Candidates need to pay the counselling fee at the time of the counselling process at the venue.

• The amount is to be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of Finance Officer, HPTU payable at Hamirpur.

Note:

• Qualified candidates have to pay the requisite amount of Rs 3,000 to take admission in engineering courses (B.Tech or B.E.).

• This amount is a non-refundable sum that can not be claimed if the candidate withdraws his/her candidature.

Documents Required for HPCET 2022 Verification

• Scorecard of JEE Main 2022 or HPCET 2022.

• HPCET 2022 Admit Card. 

• Mark sheet from a recognised University or board.

• Proof of date of birth (10th standard certificate)

• Character certificate from the last institute attended.

• Domicile Certificate

• Reserved Category Certificate (if applicable)

• Kashmiri Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

• Income Certificate (if applicable)

• PH Certificate (if applicable)

• An affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate that the candidate is applying under the “Beti Hai Anmol” scheme.
