IBPS RRB Clerk and Office Assistants & Officer Scale-1 2022 prelims exams will be conducted on August 7, 13, & 14 and August 7, 13, 14, 20, & 21, 2022 respectively. IBPS Admit Card 2022 for clerk and officer scale exam has been released in the month of July 2022. There are a total of 8100+ vacancies this year that are to be filled through IBPS RRB 2022 CWE.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts various exams to fill the vacancies in the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). The IBPS RRB exam is one of the most common banking exam. Known for its high number of vacancies and also for its easy syllabus, IBPS RRB exam is quite a preference among the government job seekers. The exam is conducted for the posts of Clerks, Probationary Officers (PO) also known as Officer Scale I, Officer Scale II, and other such posts with specific specialization. IBPS RRB Exam Pattern is as follows:

  • For the post of IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose), the exam is conducted within two Tiers – Prelims and Mains. Applicants first have to apply for Prelims, and if they qualify for the exam, then they can appear in Mains.
  • For the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale - I, the exam includes Prelims, Mains and Interview.
  • For the post of IBPS RRB Officer Scale - II & III, there is a single exam for the selection of deserving candidates. On the basis of combined performance in the Written Exam and Interview Process, candidates are selected as IBPS RRB Officer Scale - II or III.

What is IBPS RRB CWE Exam?

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, abbreviated as IBPS, administers the Regional Rural Banks (RRB) Common Written Exam (CWE). IBPS RRB CWE exam is conducted to induct bankers for Gramin Banks or Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). IBPS conducts the RRB CWE Exam every year to enroll suitable candidates for the positions of Officers and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) in various Regional Rural Banks across the country. It is one of the largest recruitment banking exam which inducts about 8000-10000 bankers every year. IBPS RRB exam is conducted in online mode. The examination will be two-tiered for the positions of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and Officers Scale I, which means that it will be held online in two phases: preliminary and mains. The Interviews will be conducted only for the Officers post. There is no provision for any interview for the post of IBPS RRB Clerk.

IBPS RRB Notification 2022

IBPS RRB CWE 2022 notification was released on June 7, 2022 by the conducting authority IBPS. In addition to this, IBPS released the annual examination calendar in the month of April 2022. This annual examination calendar includes the dates for all the banking exams conducted by IBPS. The dates for Preliminary as well as for the Mains exams are given in this calendar. The application process for IBPS RRB CWE began along with the official notification on June 7, 2022. The application cycle for IBPS RRB CWE exam terminated on June 27, 2022.

About IBPS RRB 2022 (Result)

  • Preliminary, Mains/Single Online Exam, and Interview are the three stages in which IBPS will announce IBPS RRB results. Dates for the IBPS RRB preliminaries and mains tests are listed here.
  • IBPS RRB mains results will be released in October 2022 after the prelims test results are released in August 2022.
  • December 2022–January 2022 will see the release of the IBPS RRB final results. Candidates will be chosen for the positions of Office Assistant and Officers Scale I, II, and III based on the final result (Multi-purpose).
  • All candidates who will participate in each exam stage will have their results announced. However, only those applicants who achieve the cutoff marks established by IBPS will be shortlisted for the remaining phases of the hiring process.
  • Additionally, it shows the candidates' sectional and overall exam scores at each exam stage.
  • For the interview, IBPS will choose candidates for three to four times the number of openings.

Educational Qualification (Officer Scale II - Specialist Officers)
  1.  IT Officer:  
  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Communication/
    Information Technology from a recognized University or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
  • Candidates possessing certification in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP will be given the preference.
  • An experience of at least 1 year in the relevant field.

        2.  Chartered Accountant 

  • Candidate should be a Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of of India (ICAI).
  • An experience of at least 1 year as a Chartered Accountant. 

        3.  Law Officer

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in law with at least 50% marks.
  • An experience of at least 1 years as an advocate or a Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions.

        4.  Treasury Manager

  • Candidate should be a Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of of India (ICAI) or MBA in Finance from a recognised university.
  • An experience of at least 1 year in the relevant field.

        5.  Marketing Officer

  • Candidate should have done MBA in Marketing from a recognized university.
  • An experience of at least 1 year in the relevant field.

        6.  Agricultural Officer 

  • Candidates should have a degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Pisciculture or equivalent with at least 50% marks.
  • An experience of at least 2 years in the relevant field.
Educational Qualification (Officer Scale III Senior Manager)
  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent with at least 50% marks.

  • Step 1: Visit the IBPS official website at ibps.in.
  • Step 2: Click on the Recruitment tab available on the home page.
  • Step 3: Under current openings, check for the IBPS RRB 2022 Recruitment and open the Application Form.

The IBPS RRB examination pattern 2022 is similar to what it used to be. The IBPS RRB PO Exam pattern and IBPS RRB Clerk Exam pattern is similar. The IBPS RRB exam pattern describes the basic structure of the examination. IBPS RRB CWE Exam Analysis 2022

The IBPS RRB Exam Analysis is done basically to help the candidates understand the exam difficulty level. The IBPS RRB Prelims and Mains exam analysis is done separately. IBPS RRB 2022 Preparation Tips

The basic approach to prepare for the IBPS RRB CWE 2022 exam can be filtered as below: 

  • Revise from previous years’ question papers: You should focus on the revision of critical topics. They should put maximum effort into topics with maximum weightage in the IBPS RRB prelims exam.
  • Revise with short tutorials: A number of video tutorials are available online for bank exam preparation. Short video tutorials are very helpful for revision.
  • Build a section-wise preparation tips: There is a fixed time to attempt each section. In order to attempt the maximum number of questions, you must have a clear strategy to attempt each section. If you want to attempt the Reasoning Ability section then they must pre-decide in mind that what types of questions to solve first in this section. For eg: one can devote the first five minutes to puzzle-based questions, the next two minutes to direction-based questions, and so on.
  • Analyse mock tests: You should take the sectional and full-length mock tests during preparation. While in the last phase of preparation, you should not attempt too many mock tests. Also, you must analyse your performance after every mock test. You should identify the weak areas and work upon improving those areas.
  • Be clear with concepts: You must be clear with the concepts. The standard of IBPS RRB syllabus is of graduation level. You can clear their basic concept of Quantitative Aptitude and rules of grammar from their high school books.
  • Devise section-wise preparation strategy: You need to prepare a strategy for each section of the exam. The study plan should be such that you divide equal time to each section of the exam.
  • Learn shortcuts: You should learn shortcuts for solving questions. Since there are sectional timings, learning shortcuts will help you to attempt maximum questions in less possible time.
  • Increase practice: You can practice with more and more sectional tests, take one mock test every day. Practice on the computer for optimum results.
  • Guesswork should be limited: In IBPS RRB exam, there is a negative marking for incorrect responses. Therefore, you are advised not to do guesswork.
  • Avoid spending too much time on any question: While attempting the exam, do not get stuck in any question. If you are unable to understand the question, then leave that. Be careful, while attempting questions based on puzzles.
