JEE Advanced 2025 Merit List

JEE Advanced merit list 2025 will be released simultaneously with the JEE Advanced result 2025 on June 2, 2025 at the official website jeeadv.ac.in. The merit list of JEE Advanced 2025 will be indicative of the rank secured by the candidates in the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. The JEE Advanced Merit List 2025 will comprise the names of the candidates who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. Eligible candidates will be able to apply for the JEE Advanced counselling 2025 based on their rank in the JEE Advanced Merit List 2025.

The candidates will be able to find their marks in both the JEE Advanced 2025 Paper I and Paper II in the All India JEE Advanced 2025 merit list. All the eligible candidates will be invited for the JEE Advanced 2025 seat allocation following which they will be offered admission into various engineering courses in 23 IITs across the country. 

The names of only those candidates who appeared for both paper I & paper II and have scored the minimum JEE Advanced 2023 cutoff marks will be included in the JEE Advanced 2025 merit list.

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) result has been released on June 2, 2025, along with the release of the final answer key. Candidates can access the JEE Advanced 2025 result by logging into their registered account using their application number, date of birth, and mobile number. Earlier, on May 25 2025, the provisional answer key for Paper 1 and Paper 2 was released as a PDF on the official website: jeeadv.ac.in. On the other hand, the JoSAA has announced the counselling dates on the official website: josaa.nic.in.

Tie Breaking Policy while Releasing Rank List

There's a chance that two or more applicants will receive the same scores in JEE Advanced 2025. In such cases, the authorities will adhere to the following policies per the directives:

  • Candidates with higher percentages of positive marks will be ranked higher in JEE Advanced 2025
  • In the event of a tie, preference will be given to the applicant who scored higher in mathematics.
  • The candidates with a higher Physics score will receive a higher JEE Advanced 2025 rank if there is still a tie.
  • Ultimately, the candidates will receive the same JEE Advanced 2025 rank if the tie continues.
