JIPMER MBBS 2020 Counselling Process

The second round of JIPMER MBBS 2020 counselling will begin from July  2020 in offline mode by Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry. The counselling will be conducted for General, OBC and SC category candidates. 

The counselling of JIPMER 2020 will depend on the cut-off list prepared for the admission of the candidates. In JIPMER 2020 counselling, qualified candidates will first have to register for the counselling and then report at the venue for biometric fingerprint, photo and document verification.

Note: The counselling letter is not sent by post or email by the exam conducting authority.

• At the time of declaration of JIPMER results, qualified candidates will have to report at the venue given on the official website.

• The counselling of JIPMER 2020 will be based on the caste category, availability of seats and merit of the candidate.

• On the day of JIPMER 2020 counselling, the biometric fingerprint and image verifications of the candidate will be performed.

• On the day JIPMER 2020 counselling, candidates will have to bring their original certificates, along with one set of self-attested copies of the certificate.

Important Points

• The candidates have to bring all their documents on the date of Counselling

• The candidates can attend the counselling after the verification of photo, biometric fingerprint and certificates

• The candidates can download the JIPMER 2020 rank letter from the official JIPMER website from 12th June 2020 onwards

• The candidates are suggested to visit the JIPMER official website regularly for updated information regarding the counselling

• The governing body is not responsible to communicate with the candidates individually regarding the counselling

• Any candidate’s request for change of counselling date will not be entertained under any circumstances

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Counselling Procedure

The list of selected candidates is released on the official website. In this list, candidates will be able to check their date of counselling along with the time slot and the ranks scored in JIPMER MBBS 2020. JIPMER MBBS 2020 counselling process will take place in three rounds. Given below is the detailed procedure of the counselling process of JIPMER MBBS 2020.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 First Round Counselling Process

Registration Process:

• The first step for candidates appearing in the JIPMER MBBS counselling process is to get themselves registered.

• To get registered, candidates need to report on time at the specified counselling venue.

• At the counselling venue, candidates will be given a registration form.

• The registration form describes details about the shortlisted candidate. Information like the name of the candidate, date of birth, JIPMER MBBS roll number, marks scored in JIPMER MBBS 2020, academic qualifications, etc.

• Candidates must fill in their correct details in the registration form.

Document Verification:

• Candidates are asked to submit documents related to their educational background.

• Candidates must attach the photocopies of the asked documents in the registration form being submitted.

• Remember to keep two sets of all the important documents along with the original documents.

• The documents submitted will be cross-checked and tallied from the original documents.

• JIPMER MBBS Admit Card is also an important document that the candidates must produce at the time of counselling.

Verification – Image and Biometric Fingerprint:

• After arriving at the counselling venue, candidates will be asked to verify their fingerprint through the biometric system along with the face recognition scanning.

• This will verify the presence of the candidate and any mismatch will land candidates into legal actions and cancellation of the candidature.

Fee Submission:

• Candidates will be asked to pay the counselling/admission fee at the end of the counselling process.

• A non-refundable sum has to be paid by the candidates at the JIPMER MBBS counselling center.

• This amount shall be paid only once after the completion of the counselling process.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment:

• Candidates will be qualified for the choice filling and seat allotment process only after the clearance of the verification process.

• The marks secured by the candidate in JIPMER MBBS 2020 exam will play a major role in the seat allotment process. Candidates will be called as per the ranks they secured in the exam.

Note:

• Candidates are not allowed to change or transfer the institution that has been allotted and finalised.

• Prioritising seats will be possible only if there are vacant seats or withdrawal of candidature.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Second Round of Counselling Process

• After the completion of the first round of the counselling process, the list of candidates qualifying for the second round of the counselling will be released.

• The second round of counselling process remains the same as of the first round of JIPMER MBBS counselling process.

• Candidates who are not able to opt for seats in the first round of counselling can apply for the same in the second round of the counselling process.

JIPMER MBBS 2020 Third Round Counselling Process

• The third round will take place only if there are vacant seats.

• The counselling process remains the same as mentioned above.

• Candidates who are not able to opt for seats in the first round and second round of counselling can apply for the same in the third round of the counselling process.

• Admission shall be subject to the ranks secured by the candidates in the merit list issued by the concerned authority.

Documents Required for JIPMER 2020 Counselling

At the time of JIPMER counselling process, qualified candidates should carry the following documents:

• Any valid Government ID proof

• Original Hall Ticket and Rank letter

• Certificate showing the date of birth

• Proof of Registration as OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) if applicable

• Permanent/Provisional Medical Registration Certificate

• Conduct Certificate and Transfer Certificate obtained from the last studied institute

• Service candidate should produce NOC / Relieving Order

• Medical Certificate in case of Orthopedic Physically Challenged candidates

• Caste category certificate

• 4 Passport size photographs
