Predict NowNearly 1.97 lakh candidates successfully appeared for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) 2019 examination on June 3. This year, 1,97,751 candidates applied for the JIPMER MBBS examination. The exam is held for admission to JIPMER's campuses in Puducherry and Karaikal. A total of 200 MBBS seats had to be filled at JIPMER on the basis of its medical entrance exam.
100 seats out of the 200 seats are reserved for those who belong to Puducherry. Candidates are awarded the degree after they complete the JIPMER MBBS course duration, which is 4 years and 6 months, followed by a year of mandatory internship.
