Nearly 1.97 lakh candidates successfully appeared for Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) 2018 examination on June 3. Now that the exam is over, you may take a look at our detailed analysis of the paper. The JIPMER MBBS entrance examination was conducted in two shifts – 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 3 PM to 5.30 PM. Students across 130 cities took the examination at 291 centers. The JIPMER 2018 Result was announced on 8th June 2018.
This year, 1,97,751 candidates applied for the JIPMER MBBS examination. The exam is held for admission to JIPMER's campuses in Puducherry and Karaikal. A total of 200 MBBS seats had to be filled at JIPMER on the basis of its medical entrance exam.
100 seats out of the 200 seats are reserved for those who belong to Puducherry. Candidates are awarded the degree after they complete the JIPMER MBBS course duration, which is 4 years and 6 months, followed by a year of mandatory internship.
