The Koneru Lakshmaiah Engineering Entrance Examination is known as KLEEE exam. KL University conducts this exam every year for students who want to study engineering. The KLEEE Cutoff 2024 is the minimum mark a student needs to get admission into the university. If a student scores more than the cutoff marks, they can choose their favourite engineering branch.
Understanding the cutoff helps students know their chances of getting a seat. We have seen that the cutoff changes based on the student's category and the engineering branch they choose. Popular branches like Computer Science always have the highest marks because many students want to join them. It is also important to remember that there are two different campuses in Vijayawada and Hyderabad. Each campus has its own set of cutoff marks during the counselling rounds.
For the year 2024, the university used the following marks as the minimum requirement for different categories:
Category | Cutoff Marks (Out of 160) |
|---|---|
General | 140 marks |
OBC | 100 marks |
SC | 95 marks |
ST | 90 marks |
The branch-wise cutoff shows the minimum marks needed to get into a specific engineering field. Some branches are more popular than others. Because many students want to join popular branches, their cutoff marks are usually very high. The following table shows the range of marks required for each major branch at KL University in 2024. These marks are out of a total of 160.
Engineering Branch | Cutoff Marks (Out of 160) |
|---|---|
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) | 135 – 145 |
Electronics and Communication (ECE) | 130 – 135 |
Biotechnology | 135 – 140 |
Petroleum Engineering | 128 – 142 |
Civil Engineering | 125 – 131 |
Mechanical Engineering | 118 – 125 |
Electrical and Electronics (EEE) | 116 – 130 |
KL University has two main campuses located in Vijayawada and Hyderabad. The cutoff marks for these campuses can be slightly different. Most students choose the Vijayawada campus because it is the main campus, so the cutoff marks there are usually higher. The table below shows the marks required for the top engineering branches at both campuses.
Engineering Branch | Vijayawada Campus Cutoff | Hyderabad Campus Cutoff |
|---|---|---|
Computer Science (CSE) | 135 – 145 | 130 – 140 |
Electronics (ECE) | 130 – 135 | 125 – 130 |
Artificial Intelligence (AI & DS) | 132 – 140 | 128 – 135 |
Information Technology (IT) | 128 – 134 | 124 – 130 |
Mechanical Engineering | 118 – 125 | 115 – 120 |
