MHT-CET 2021 Exam Pattern (Latest)

CET Cell - Maharashtra has confirmed the new exam pattern for MHT CET 2021. According to the official information disclosed by State CET Cell, Maharashtra, almost 80% weightage shall be given to the syllabus of Class 12th, while the Class 11th syllabus shall have only 20% weightage. MHT-CET 2021 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme is different in Paper 1 and Paper 2:

  • Every correct answer carries one mark for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Papers and 2 marks for Mathematics Paper.

  • There is no negative marking in the entrance examination.

What will be the difficulty level of the MHT CET 2021 exam?

The difficulty level of the MHT CET 2021 exam will be on par with JEE Main. The MHT CET 2021 exam will be based on the class XIth and XIIth syllabus. 20% weightage will be given to the class XIth syllabus and the remaining focus will be on the class XIIth syllabus by the officials when they begin preparing the question paper for the 2021 exam. 

In how many sections will be the Biology section of MHT CET 2021 divided into?

The MHT CET 2021 Biology section will be divided into two sections - Section I will be Botany and Section II will be Zoology.

Do the candidates have to appear for different papers as per their programme preference?

Ans: Yes, for Engineering and Technology disciplines the candidates have to take the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics papers and the Pharmacy aspirants have to sit in the Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics papers as per their preference.
