NLSAT 2026 Counselling: The NLSAT counselling typically commences within a few weeks after the result is declared. Make sure to follow the schedule provided by the conducting body and participate accordingly.
Based on the performance in the entrance test, the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, issues the provisional admission list. Those on the said list must report to the assigned venue for validation of original documents and fee payment. After successful verification and fee receipt submission, the final admission list is released. The classes are expected to begin on July 1, 2026. The selection process considers the merit of the examinees, their rank in the test, reservation category, and the number of available seats. Below are the steps followed in the counselling process of NLSAT 2026.
Registration for Counselling Process
After the Institution announces the first list, you will have to register for the counselling. Aspirants whose names occur on the list must pay the counselling charge to participate in the seat allocation procedure.
Selection of Preferred Institution
Students must enter their course and college preferences in this option. You will not be able to switch from one university to another throughout the subsequent counselling procedure once you have opted for a specific college or course.
Upgrading
Applicants who choose this option will be screened for further rounds of counselling for any vacancies that may emerge at the institute.
Withdrawal
If a student participating in NLSAT 2026 counselling fails to pay the required amount of counselling costs, their name will be removed from the admission merit list.
Final Admission List
A second, third, and final list of shortlisted candidates may be produced based on the number of vacant seats in the institutes. Students must have their documents confirmed by the relevant authority and pay the admission fees to secure the seats given to them.
