The NLSIU will tentatively issue the NLSAT 2026 result by May 2026. The exam will be conducted on April 26, 2026. To check the results, exam takers must visit the official portal. The university does not dispatch the NLSAT scorecards via offline means.

The NLSAT 2026 will have a single-question paper consisting of Part A and Part B. It is mandatory for all the examinees appearing for the exam, to attempt both parts of the question paper.
Part A:
Part A will consist of 75 marks. Based on the marks achieved in this section, the initial merit list will be prepared. The answer scripts of Part B will be reviewed for those applicants who achieve more than non-zero marks in Part A. Part A comprises the first stage of the admission process. Five candidates per seat (1:5 ratio) will qualify for Part B's evaluation of NLSAT 2026.
Part B:
Candidates will then have to attempt Part B, which also has 75 marks. The applicants must secure more than zero marks in both parts of the exam. A fresh rank list/ merit list will be created based on the performance of the candidates in Part A and Part B.
