The selection at the Pearl Academy is based on two stages - a written entrance exam round: Written Admission Test (WAT), a General Proficiency Test (GPT) & Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and a Personal Interview (PI) round: Portfolio Review, Studio Test depending on the course.

Stage 1. Written Entrance Test
Every candidate intending to get admission to this institute must appear for the written test which includes the General Proficiency Test (GPT), Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and Media Aptitude Test (MAT).
Stage 2. Personal Interview
The shortlisted students for the personal interview are based on the scores of the written entrance exam. This personal interview round is the second stage of the selection process at the Pearl Academy. This round comprises the portfolio evaluation or review round which is dependent on the material handling & managing skills of the student.
