SET Detailed Counselling Process 2025
The counselling process generally involves two rounds: WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI (Personal Interview). Elaborated below is the information regarding both rounds. This year, WAT will be conducted in online mode after the respective tests.
WAT (Written Ability Test)
Candidates are generally required to go through PAT (Picture Association Test) and attempt to write a short essay on the topics allotted by the panel of judges. Depending on the institute, the WAT could also include subjective-type questions and answers on the topic given. Symbiosis Centre of Media and Communication conducts a Studio Test along with PI and WAT.
PI (Personal Interaction/Personal Interview)
The candidate will have to go through an interview with a panel of experts. The panel might include members from the industry or academia. The question raised at the PI round will be covered from-
- ECA (Extracurricular Activities)
- General Awareness
- Academics
- Candidate’s sphere of interest
- Communication skills of the candidate
- The overall personality of the candidate
