TS EDCET 2026 Age Limit
Candidates must be at least 19 years old on July 1st of the year in which the TS EDCET notification is published. There will be no upper age limit.

We have highlighted the important reservation conditions of TS EDCET 2026:
Local candidates will be admitted to 85% of seats in each process, with 15% remaining unreserved.
To be considered a local candidate for admission, one must have attended an Educational Institution in the local region for a minimum of four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which one appears.
Local candidates who have lived in the state for ten years or more, excluding their studies elsewhere, are eligible for the remaining 15% of unreserved seats.
Candidates whose parents work for the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, etc, within the State shall be considered for the 15% unreserved seats.
If a local candidate is not available to fill a seat reserved or designated for a local candidate, the seat shall be filled as if unreserved.

Candidates are not required to submit Xerox copies of any certificates with their applications.
They must, however, produce original certificates or Xerox copies if requested.
At the time of admission, the information provided in the application will be validated with original documents.
False information leads to cancellation of admission at any moment.
The mere presence at the Entrance Test does not entitle the candidate to admission to the B.Ed Course.
Only online applications will be accepted.
The candidate must click the submit button after filling out all of the fields on the online application.
Otherwise, no registration number will be generated, and the application will be rejected.
On the day of the examination, candidates will not be permitted to enter the examination venue after the exam has begun.

The eligibility criteria for the TS EDCET 2026 exam are given below:
The candidates must be Indian citizens.
Candidates must meet the local/ non local status requirements outlined in the Telangana Education Institutions Order 1974.
Candidates must have passed or appeared in any bachelor's degree or master's degree with at least 50% minimum marks.
Applicants appearing from an engineering or technology background must have graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering or Technology degree and achieve a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
Candidates from the Reserve categories, including SC/ST/ BC and other reserve categories, must obtain 40% in the qualifying examination.
At the time of admission counselling, candidates should be asked to present a marks memo and a past certificate.
Candidates with MBBS / BSC (AG), B Pharm or BVSC, or BHMT and other professional and job-oriented degrees such as LLB are not eligible for admission to the B.Ed course.
The TS EDCET 2026 exam is expected to be held in June 2026.
