VTUEEE 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Vel Tech Undergraduate Engineering Entrance Exam, also known as VTUEEE, is an exam by the Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, which is conducted for admission to the B.Tech programmes at the university.

VTUEEE 2020 eligibility criteria have been prescribed by Veltech University for the applicants who wish to get admission in B.Tech courses. The eligibility criteria of VTUEEE 2020 specifies the age and educational qualification required to be eligible for the entrance exam. Before filling the VTUEEE 2020 application form, applicants must fulfil the eligibility norms of VTUEEE 2020 as without satisfying the eligibility criteria, applicants will not be allowed to take the entrance exam.

Candidates can fill in the VTUEEE 2020 application form online and submit it on or before the last date. Application forms are also available at the regional office of the university by paying the required fees. The exam will take place in two phases and it is a pen and paper test as well as an online test. The exam pattern of VTUEEE 2020 will be based on JEE Mains while the syllabus will include topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. The result of VTUEEE 2020 will also be declared online and on that basis, candidates will be called for the further rounds.

Exemption from VTUEEE 2020

Applicants satisfying any of the following conditions will be exempted from taking the VTUEEE 2020 entrance examination:

  • Students who scored the first rank in 10+2 in the exams conducted by the respective States will be given admission directly into the course of their choice but subject to eligibility with 100% scholarship including the tuition fee and hostel fee for the entire course duration.

  • Candidates who failed to appear for VTUEEE 2020 on the date of the exam for any reason including loss of the hall ticket/application form in transit. Reexamination will not be held and the schedule once announced will not be changed.

  • Only those candidates who have appeared for VTUEEE 2020 and have been admitted to any of the B.Tech programmes are eligible for Mahatma Gandhi National Merit Scholarship.

Rules for Reservation

Rules for reservation for VTUEEE 2020 are given below

  • Reservation for the physically challenged candidates as well as for SC/ST/OBC will be applicable according to the rules of the Government of India for the time being.

Compulsory Subject Combinations 

The compulsory subject combinations to get admission in B.Tech at Vel Tech University is as follows

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized university/board with Chemistry and Physics as compulsory subjects and Mathematics/Biology as the third subject.

Age Limit

  • Applicants should not be older than 25 years in age as on July 1, 2020.

  • Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Physically Challenged applicants are eligible for age relaxation for up to 5 years.

  • Age relaxation up to 6 months may be given in specific cases

Qualifying Examination Subject Combination

  • To be eligible for VTUEEE 2020, applicants should have cleared class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • Applicants with Biology, Physics & Chemistry combination are eligible for B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Tech Biomedical courses.

Qualifying Examination

  • Applicants should have passed class 12 or any equivalent examination from a recognised board like CBSE, State Boards, CISCE, National Institute of Open learning, etc.

  • Appearing applicants in class 12 can also apply for VTUEEE 2020.

Nationality 
  • Candidate must be a resident/non-resident Indian national.
  • Foreign candidates do not need to apply for VTUEEE.
Qualification Criteria 
  • Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and North Eastern states such as Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Tripura, Nagaland, and Sikkim will have to submit their 'Nativity Certificates'.
