AIL LET Eligibility Criteria 2020

Before beginning to apply for AIL LET exam for the year 2020, it is imperative that the aspirants meet the AIL LET eligibility criteria for 2020 prescribed by the Army Welfare Education Society, commonly known as AWES. Without fulfilling the eligibility criteria for AIL LET 2020, the aspirants cannot successfully apply for the entrance test, which is going to be conducted all across the nation tentatively in the month of June. 

The 2020 eligibility criteria for AIL LET will include various things such as the educational qualification required by the applicants, marks required at the qualifying exam level, maximum age limit and similar other things to apply for the upcoming AIL LET entrance test. The applicants must tick all the boxes of the AIL LET eligibility criteria to be able to apply and appear in the exam. 

Following below are the detailed eligibility criteria laid down by the AWES for AIL LET entrance exam.

AIL LET Education Eligibility Criteria 2020

  • The applicant must have cleared 10+2 level education from Punjab School Education Board

  • Students who have completed their 10+2 level education from an equivalent recognised Board as such the Punjab School Education Board which must be recognised by the Punjabi University, Patiala  

  • The applicants must have qualified the aforementioned exam with a minimum of 45% aggregate

  • Application forms for AIL LET 2020 of those applicants will be rejected who have completed their 10+2 level education from any Open Universities and do not possess basic qualifications to pursue such studies

  • Applicants taking their 10+2 level qualifying exam in March-April 2020 can also apply for AIL LET 2020 provided they pass the same with the minimum required qualifying marks (mentioned above)

  • Applicants appearing for compartment papers of the qualifying level exam are not eligible to apply for AIL LET 2020

  • Applicants passing the qualifying level exam from an Institution not recognised by the Punjabi University have to produce an eligibility certificate from the Punjabi University, Patiala during the interview round. Failing to do so will attract cancellation of candidature of such applicants

  • In case a delay in qualifying exam result, the AIL LET applicants must contact their respective Board/University officials requesting forwarding their result confidentially to the following authority:

AIL LET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Army Personnel Wards

Applicants applying under this category have to fulfil certain eligibility criteria to be considered eligible by the officials which are as follows:

  • Father/Mother currently serving in the Indian Army for a minimum of 10 years (without any discontinuation) 

  • Wards of ex-servicemen awarded/granted a regular pension, disability pension or family pension, liberalized family pension at the time of - 

  1. Demise

  2. Superannuation

  3. Invalided/released medical board

  4. Discharge

  • Wards of Defence personnel granted Disability Pension or medically boarded out

  • Wards of Defence personnel who opted for premature retirement after a minimum of 10 years of service in the armed forces

AIL LET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Remarried Widows/Step Wards/Adopted Wards

  • Wards adopted by army personnel at least 5 years before the date of applying for AIL LET

  • Step wards born from a wedding where either of the parents belonged to the army

AIL LET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for Civilian Applicants (Residents of Punjab)

Civil category from Punjab will be given admission to AIL Mohali by the Punjabi University, Patiala.

AIL LET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for All India Civilian Applicants

  • The applicants must be a citizen of India

  • The applicants must be an origin of India with the intention of permanently settling in India and have obtained citizenship before applying for AIL LET 

  • Such applicants must also fulfil all the educational eligibility criteria mentioned above for their application forms to be accepted by the AIL officials
