Panjab University has released the merit list for PU UGLAW 2020. The merit score for the law exam is calculated by taking 50% of the class 12th percentage and 50% of the UGLAW Entrance Test Marks. The result of PU UGLAW 2020 can be viewed online. A separate list is released for all the categories. The detailed calculation of the merit score can be viewed by entering the login id and password.
The admission forms for PU UG Law were made available from September 24, 2020, onwards. Aspirants willing to take admission in BA LLB or B.Com LLB were required to fill and submit the form before October 15, 2020.The deadline was extended by the varsity and previously it was October 1, 2020.
Earlier, PU decided to suspend BA LLB and B.Com LLB Admissions until further notice. However, the varsity released a notification on September 16, 2020, announcing the final decision. It stated that the PU UGLAW stands cancelled for the academic year 2020-2021 due to Coronavirus Outbreak and the students will be shortlisted for admissions as per their class 12th score.
After rescheduling PU UGLAW 2020 for 4th Oct 2020, the university had decided to scrape off the test for the year 2020. The decision was taken keeping in view the outbreak of coronavirus in the nation. However, after the statement released by the High Court to reconsider the decision, the university had decided to temporarily suspend the admission process. The fresh admission schedule will be announced soon on the official website of the university. The registration process of PU UGLAW was wrapped up on August 22, 2020.
To fill the admission form, candidates have to log in on the official website with their registered ID and password and fill in information about their categories, 10+2 subjects, weightage and other information.
The application form for the PU UGLAW was out on April 1, 2020. PU or the Panjab University conducts PU UGLAW entrance exam to offer admission to the undergraduate law courses. PU UGLAW 2020 is a state-level objective type test conducted in an offline mode. The institutes participating in the admission process include the University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Chandigarh, UILS, Hoshiyarpur and UIL Ludhiana. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria set by the university can apply for the admission in the UG level law courses through online mode.
