The eligibility criteria for AP POLYCET 2020 is provided by the exam conducting body which is the State Board of Technical Education and Training. The AP POLYCET 2020 eligibility is given to let the applicants understand whether they satisfy the AP POLYCET 2020 eligibility criteria.
So before applying for the AP POLYCET 2020, candidates must keep in mind that they will have to fulfil all the required eligibility criteria of AP POLYCET 2020. However, the AP POLYCET 2020 has no age restriction as such. The eligibility criteria of AP POLYCET 2020 comprises of the educational qualification, character certificate or other such information and documents which will be required by the applicant in order to be able to apply for the examination.

There are other eligibility criteria too but the basic eligibility criteria of AP POLYCET 2020 is that the candidate must be an Indian. The applicants must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh explained by the Education Department.
Applicants who apply for the AP POLYCET 2020 must have qualified SSC examination conducted by the State Board of Secondary Education of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. Candidates must have qualified any such equivalent examination at class 10 level.
Applicants must have had Maths as one of the compulsory subjects and they must have qualified with 35% marks in aggregate.
Candidates belonging to Central Board of Secondary Education, Indian Council for Secondary Education, National Institute of Open School, Andhra Pradesh Open School Society or any other board which is equivalent to SSC must have qualified in all the subjects including Maths, Physics and Chemistry. They must have scored at least 35% marks in all the subjects.
Applicants have appeared in SSC and are yet to get the result or applicants who will be appearing this year are eligible to apply for the AP POLYCET 2020.
There is no such age limit for appearing in the AP POLYCET 2020 examination, However, there are limitations in age as far as the scholarship is considered. Scholarships will be given as described by the Social Welfare Department.
Even if the candidates qualify the AP POLYCET 2020 and make a place in the merit list, the candidates would not be entitled to get admission because he has to satisfy the AP POLYCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh offers several reservations to the candidates of the Reserved Category. All the reservations for the reserved category have been mentioned below:
Reservation for Residential Polytechnics for Girls [Mandanapalle, Rajahmundry, Gajwel and Karim Nagar]
Reservation for Residential Polytechnics for Boys [Paderu, Yetapaka, Srisailam, Bhadrachalam]
Reservation for NCC Cadets
1% reservation is given to the general category of student.
Reservation for Sports Category
0.5% of seats will be available for the Sports Category candidates. Such Candidates must produce certificates issued by the State Government or Central Government of events that have been held solely by the government.
3% of the seats are reserved by the Physically Handicapped and 1 % for the Visually impaired ones, 1% of hearing impaired and 1% for Orthopedically handicapped. On the other hand candidates with dispair life deaf and dumb, muscular dystrophy, mentally retarded and blind is not at all eligible for admission through AP POLYCET 2020.
Reservation for the children of ex-servicemen or defense Personale and Border Security Force
2% of seats are available for this category with the conditions like:
Applicants whose parents are the domicile of Andhra Pradesh
Applicants will also have to submit their certificate issued by the Zila Sainik Board/ Sainik Welfare Board.
The decision of the A.P Sainik Board or its nominee is final.
