DNB PDCET 2021 Results

The National Board of Examination will release the DNB PDCET 2021 Results on its official website. As per the schedule, it is expected for NBE to release the results for DNB PDCET 2021 somewhere around 15th January 2021. Once the results for the examination have been released, NBE will subsequently release the DNB PDCET 2021 Merit lists as well. All admissions to the DNB courses will be based on the merit lists for DNB PDCET 2021 that have been published by NBE.

Validity of DNB PDCET 2021 Result

Those who qualify the examination and are listed under one of the merit lists, they will be required to enrol in DNB courses using the scores obtained in the examination. However, the scores will only be valid for the 2021 academic session alone. In other words, those who wish to take admissions in one of the DNB courses in 2021 will only be able to use the scores obtained in DNB PDCET 2021 for admissions.

DNB PDCET 2021 Merit Lists

Once the results have been declared, merit lists will be created for the purpose of offering admissions to aspirants under different DNB courses. The National Board of Examination states that the separate merit lists will be created as per DNB specialisations. For instance, separate merit lists will be created for those wish to pursue DNB Anaesthesiology, while another will be created for DNB in Ophthalmology.

Candidates will be selected for the respective courses based on the merit lists published by the Board for each and every specialisation, as and when they will be released. The merit lists will contain the names of all candidates in the order of ranks using the marks obtained by them in the entrance exam.

DNB PDCET 2021 Tie Breaker Policy

In situations where two or more candidates have scored the exact same marks, NBE has defined certain Tie Breaking policies, which will be enforced in such cases. Following are the Tie-Breaking Policies which the NBE will enforce during such situations:

1) Candidates with the Higher Number of Correct Responses will be granted.

2) If the above criterion does not imply, then the age of the candidate will be considered. Older candidates will be chosen in such cases.
