Step-wise Process for FDDI AIST 2026 Counselling

The Footwear Design & Development Institute has set up the Online Counselling Portal, fddi.qualcampus.com, to oversee and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 12 campuses of the Institute for the academic year. There will only be a single platform through which admission to all the academic programmes offered by FDDI will be provided. The following are the steps that candidates will have to follow to participate in the FDDI AIST counselling and seat allotment process:

Step 1: Online Registration for FDDI AIST 2026 Counselling

For FDDI AIST 2026 counselling, you will first have to register online to take part in the FDDI AIST counselling and the seat allotment process.

Step 2: Online Choice Filling of FDDI AIST 2026 Counselling

As a part of the counselling process, you will have to make your choice for the course and campus. It is mandatory for you to fill-in your choices of courses and campuses in decreasing order of your preference in a way that the most preferred comes first. For Under Graduate & Post Graduate Programmes, you must fill in at least 12 choices in case of Only B.Des. Programmes, 4 choices in case of Only BBA Programme, 12+4 choices in case of Both B.Des (12) & BBA (4), and 10 choices in case of Post Graduate Programme. Based on the marks/ rank and preference for the campus and course, qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process.

Step 3: Seat Allotment of FDDI AIST 2026 Counselling

Once the choice-filling process is done, basis the availability of seats, order of candidates' ranks, merit and preferences mentioned by the candidates during the time of registration, candidates will be allotted seats in the courses. On the Counselling portal, the allotment of seats will be displayed. To participate in the next round of seat allotment, you can either “accept the seat” or “accept with upgrade”. You will be allotted seats depending on your first preference, and after accepting the allotted seat, you will be required to pay the 1st semester balance fee by the provisional date for confirmation of your admission. No fresh registration of candidates and choice submission will take place for the further round of counselling and the subsequent round of seat allotment. For further rounds of allotment, the choice submitted by you during the main counselling session (prior to the first-round allotment) will be taken into consideration.

Who are Eligible for the Subsequent Round of Seat Allotment?
If you belong to any one of the following groups, you will become eligible for seat allotment in the subsequent round:

  • Group–I: If you registered successfully but did not get any seat allotment
  • Group-II: If you registered successfully but your 1st round of allotted Seat was cancelled due to missing document/s, and you have secured a seat under the reserved quota, due to a change of Category from reserved to Unreserved or PH status, you are still eligible for the subsequent round of seat allotment, with a changed Category, only if you fulfil all eligibility conditions.
  • Group–III: If you have submitted wyour illingness for the second round of up-gradation as “Accept with upgrade” and paid the 1st semester balance fee according to the 1st allotment

Who are Not Eligible for 2nd Round of Allotment?

If you belong to any one of the following groups, you will not be considered eligible for seat allotment in the subsequent round:
• If you have been allotted seat as per your First Choice in the 1st round.
• If you reported in the 1st round of Counselling but did not submit the 1st semester balance fee.
• If you fixed your choice and accepted the seat allotted in the 1st round by marking “Accepted” and declined the “Accept with Upgrade” option.

1st Semester Balance Fee Payment
Depending on your order of merit & choice, you will be allotted a seat in a particular course and campus, and hence you must pay first-semester balance fee within the defined time-frame or by the stipulated date as mentioned by the Institute. You will find the process to pay the 1st semester balance fee on the Counselling portal. You will be granted Provisional Admission after successful fee payment.

Step 4: Payment and Acceptance of Fee

After the seat allotment, to reserve the seats, qualified candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay INR 25,000 (INR 10,000 Registration Fee + INR 15,000 advance semester fee) to participate in the FDDI Online Counselling 2026 on the spot after the counselling is over. Candidates must note that the registration fee of INR 10,000 paid for the counselling is non-refundable. If you belong to the SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy)/EWS/PWD category, you are required to submit a fee of INR 10,000 (INR 5,000 for Registration Fee + INR 5,000 refundable security deposit) to participate in FDDI Online Counselling 2026. Note that the Registration fee of INR 5,000 will be non-refundable.

Step 5: Document Verification

The verification of documents will be done by the institute before finalising the admission of students. The list of documents required for verification during FDDI counselling has been given ahead on this page.

Step 6: Commencement of Session

After all the required fees have been paid and the documents have been verified, the classes will be at FDDI.

Documents Required During FDDI AIST Counselling 2026

  • Class 10th and 12th Certificate (attested)

  • Class 10th and 12th Marksheet (attested)

  • Character certificate from the principal of last attended school/college or any gazetted officer

  • Caste certificate/Disability certificate (if applicable)

  • Medical Fitness Certificate/undertaking of medical fitness in original

  • Demand draft of INR 25,000/- in favour of “FDDI” payable at New Delhi from any bank

  • Four recent passport-size coloured photographs

Here are a few of the important details related to the counselling of FDDI AIST 2026:

  • Admission will be strictly made based on the rank/ merit acquired and the campus preference filled by the candidate.

  • Candidates will be invited for counselling in order of their rank.

  • An individual who has been offered an admission seat through FDDI Counselling will be required to pay an amount of INR 25,000 at the time of counselling/admission to freeze the seat.

  • The seat acceptance fee includes a Registration Fee of 10,000/- (Non-Refundable) and an advance fee of INR 15,000 that will be later adjusted against the

  • balance fee.

  • Aspirants will be provided with a time frame of 10 working days from the date of reserving their seat to deposit the balance fee.

  • Candidates need to participate in the counselling process on the date and time allotted by the institute.

  • An individual, who has secured admission in any programme goes on to withdraw admission, will not be considered for admission during subsequent rounds of counselling (if any).
