The Himachal Pradesh University has released the official HPU MAT 2025 Notification on its official website: hpuniv.ac.in. The exam took place on June 10, 2025. The application process for HPU MAT 2025 started on April 11, 2025, and ended on May 24, 2025. Admit cards were made available from June 4, 2025. The HPU MAT 2025 is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Himachal Pradesh University Business School (HPUBS). This exam is conducted to select students for admission to the 2-year MBA Program. The institute offers around 50 seats through the HPU MAT test—15 of these are subsidised, and 35 are non-subsidised. The HPU MAT admit card 2025 was available for download at nadmissions.hpushimla.in. If you have completed your application and paid the required fee, you are eligible to get your admit card. Yes, international students can apply under the foreign national or NRI categories. They are usually exempted from taking the HPU MAT 2025 and are considered for admission based on their academic qualifications and equivalency. Such candidates must apply through the proper channel as per HPUBS’s foreign admission guidelines.
There is no specific dress code mentioned for HPU MAT 2025. However, candidates are advised to dress in simple, decent, and comfortable clothing. Avoid wearing accessories or gadgets like smartwatches, as electronic items are not allowed in the exam hall. Strict frisking will be done at the venue.
At the time of GD/PI for HPU MAT 2025, candidates must carry their admit card, a government-issued photo ID, original academic certificates, category certificate (if applicable), and printed copy of the application form. Failing to bring any of these documents may result in disqualification from the selection process.
On average, more than 2,000 candidates apply for HPU MAT every year. The number varies slightly depending on the year. Due to the reputation of HPUBS and limited MBA seats (only 120), competition is moderately high, and candidates must prepare seriously for written and interview rounds.
