Predict NowThe selection process of IIAD is made under the Indian Institute of Art & Design for granting admission to candidates in different courses and programme levels. The IIAD entrance exam is divided into two selection rounds - IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) and Studio Simulation rounds for design undergraduate courses. For the Fashion Management course, the selection rounds include the IIAD Management Aptitude Test (iMAT) and Personal Interview.
Students must note that the final selection will be based on merit and performance of both selection rounds. So, they have to do their best in both rounds to get into IIAD. Also, only students who get shortlisted will be able to appear for counselling and seat allotment rounds. Yes, communication skills are an integral part of the IIAD entrance exam. The exam is conducted to evaluate various skills of the applicant such as design skills, observation skills, creativity and others.
Candidates need to use their creative skills, visual ability, logical thinking ability, and cultural awareness to qualify for the written round of the IIAD entrance exam. The final question paper will comprise different types of questions such as writing tasks, visual tasks, one-word questions, objective-type questions and more.
