The Institute of National Importance Super Specialty (INI-SS) is set to provide opportunities for aspiring medical professionals through the entrance examinations for the January 2026 session. The AIIMS Delhi may conduct a mop-up counselling round if seats remain vacant after this. This examination is important for candidates seeking admission to esteemed institutions like AIIMS New Delhi, along with 14 other AIIMS, PGIMER Chandigarh, JIPMER Puducherry, NIMHANS Bengaluru, and SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released revised merit lists and updated schedules for the online seat allocation process for the INI-SS 2026 exam (Institute of National Importance Super Specialty) January 2026 session. Students can now access and download the updated Common Merit List (CML) for JIPMER, NIMHANS, and SCTIMST, and the AIIMS Merit List (AML) for AIIMS and PGIMER. Additionally, a revised information brochure and schedule for the online seat allocation process are also available.

INI SS 2026 Seat Allotment Process

INI SS 2026 counselling starts with an online registration followed by a release of online choices, seat processing, seat allotment result, and reporting to the institutes. Registration can be done on the official website with the candidate’s login credentials. The candidates are advised to read the counselling information brochure PDF before registration for seat allotment.

INI SS 2026 Registration

According to the official information brochure, the registration link is activated by the exam conducting authority (AIIMS) as per the dates and schedule. The candidates will find the link and log in with the login credentials used while filling application form. The candidates must note that the registered candidates can declare a choice for college and course.

INI SS 2026 Choice Declaration

The choice for INI SS counselling 2026 can be declared after logging in with a new password. for seat allotment. After logging, the candidates will have to confirm their name and candidate’s ID. Thereafter the candidates must click on the declare choice button. To add choice, candidates have to choose institute and subject from two separate drop-down menus. Choices can be removed by clicking on the ‘delete button’ against that particular choice. The candidates must not forget to save the choice after rearranging/modifying the order of choice. It must be noted that choices can be edited or their order can be modified as many times as they wish. The choice for college and course must be saved and locked in the given deadline.

INI SS 2026 Seat Allotment Result

The INI SS seat allotment result is declared online based on declared choices and other factors such as INI SS merit, availability of seats, etc. A separate result PDF is declared for each round of counselling. Candidates allotted seats in round-1 counselling, have to actively exercise the options regarding participation in the next round of INI SS 2026 counselling.

INI SS Reporting

The candidates who have been allotted seats need to report in person by the given deadline. The reporting is compulsory whether someone chooses option 1 or option 2. They have to submit original certificates or deposit INR 3 lakh as security which is refunded after submission of original certificates. If a candidate is allotted a seat and he/she doesn’t report in that case he/she will not be eligible to participate in the next round, except for the open round.
