How to Apply for JNU CEEB 2019

JNU (short for Jawaharlal Nehru University) released the JNU CEEB 2019 application form in September 2018 and the application process ended on 14th October 2018. JNU CEEB is organized by JNU every year through which deserving candidates get admission into the postgraduate programmes such as M.Tech in Biotechnology, M.Sc in Biotechnology and M.V.Sc.Candidates should always remember to check the eligibility criteria of JNU CEEB before filling the application form. This will help the candidates in checking the eligibility of their candidature and then they proceed with the registration process. Also, they must go through the required documents, which have to be attached with the application form such as mark sheets, scanned photograph, and signature etc. Checking the JNU CEEB 2018 eligibility criteria will ensure the fulfillment of all the requirements.

The registration for JNU CEEB 2019 is done only through the official website.   • Valid mobile number and email ID.

  • Scanned images of their signature and photograph. The size of the images should be 20-50 KB and the format should be JPG.

  • Qualification details

  • Credit/Debit card details for fee payment

  • Category Certificate (if required)

  • Passport Size Photograph

Step-by-step Guide for JNU CEEB 2019 Registration Process

Here are the simple steps to register online forJNU CEEB 2019 Registration:


  • Candidates need to go to the official website of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).

  • Firstly, candidates need to register themselves on the official website using a valid Mobile No. and Email address.

  • Then the password will be given to candidates, which they can use to log in and fill the online application form.

  • After entering all the login credentials, click on ‘Submit’ tab.

Note Candidates make sure that name of their parent’s/guardian’s name, and their date of birth should exactly be the same as given in their 10th class or first Board/Pre-University examination certificate. Any deviation, whenever discovered, may lead to cancellation of their candidature. 

Fill the Application Form:

  • Candidates will have to fill the online application forms by providing the necessary details such as:

    • Name, Date of Birth, Contact Details, Address, Educational Details, Communication Details,

  • After that, candidates have to give their exam preference which includes, subject and exam centre.

  • Candidates can choose up to 3 exam centres according to their preferences. While choosing the exam centre students must make sure that their choice of exam centre is nearest to home.

  • Then, click on the “submit” tab.

Uploading of Documents:

In this step, candidates have to upload their documents and scanned images of their recent passport sized photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

  • Please ensure that the scanned images of the signature and photograph are of the appropriate size and format as mentioned above.

  • Click on the 'submit' tab.

Payment of Fees:

  • The payment of JNU CEEB application fee can be done through online or offline. 

  • The application fee can be paid online by means of Credit card/Debit card/Net banking whereas offline, the application fee can be paid through a Demand Draft that is drawn in favor of Jawaharlal Nehru University and is payable at New Delhi.

  • Candidates are required to enter the payment details and pay the application fee.

  • Once the JNU CEEB application fee is submitted, then it will not be refunded/ transferred under any circumstances.

Submission of Application Form:

  • After the payment of the application fee and submitting the application form, candidates get a confirmation message.

  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of the confirmation message for future use which itself signifies the completion of Online Submission of Application for JNU CEEB.

  • Also, save it to their system as proof of their completed application form.

  • The confirmation page cannot be regenerated at a later stage. Hence, it is the responsibility of the candidate to preserve it safely.

  • If candidates follow all these steps, they will be able to successfully fill and submit JNU CEEB 2018 application form

JNU CEEB 2019 Application Form Correction 

JNU provides the facility of JNU CEEB 2019 Application Form correction. If candidates realize that there was some mistake while filling their application form, they can correct it in the month of November 2018. For this, candidates can visit the official website of JNU CEEB 2019 in order to make the necessary rectifications. It must be noted that the previous application fee will not be refunded.

Steps for application form correction are listed below:

  • Go to the official website.

  • Click on the appropriate link 'Application form correction'.

  • Provide your application number.

  • Make the necessary changes.

  • Click on the 'Submit' tab.

FAQs on JNU CEEB 2019 Application Form

1. I am facing difficulty while uploading my signature. I have followed all the guidelines defined by the JNU authorities. What should I do now?

Check the format in which you are trying to upload the document. Also, check the size and also do not resize the file

2. I forgot my password. Now I cannot login to the website for filling the application form. What should I do?

You can check your inbox for the password that has been sent to you after online registration. If you still cannot find the password, you need to click on the “forget password” button. A link will be sent to your email ID for changing the password.

3. The scanned images of my signature and photograph are larger than the specified size. What should I do?

You have to compress the images to 20-50 KB. Once you have the images in the specified size, you can upload them.
