Whereas KSET is a state-level eligibility test, and it is applicable only for the Karanataka state. UGC NET is conducted in various subjects or papers, while KSET is conducted in limited subjects. 

I have cleared UGC NET. Is it necesary to appear for KSET?

Candidates who have cleared UGC NET are exempted from KSET. 

Is KSET certificate valid for appointment in other states?

KSET certificate is valid only for the appointment as Professor or Assistant Professor in Karnataka Universities and Colleges. If the candidates need national-level eligibility, he/ she can appear for UGC NET.

What is the validity of KSET certificate?

The validity of the KSET certificate is a lifetime. The candidates will have to obtain the KSET certificate after the announcement of results.
