NEET SS Eligibility 2024

The National Board of Examination (NBE) conducts the NEET SS 2024 exam(National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test for Super Specialty Courses). Candidates looking for admission into the DM/ M.Ch courses at any of the colleges available in the country must check the eligibility criteria for NEET SS 2024. The entry criteria for the entrance exam are prescribed by The National Board of Examination (NBE). The NEET SS 2024 eligibility criteria must be satisfied by candidates as the minimum requirement to appear for the examination. 

The eligibility criteria also includes the academic requirement needed to appear for this exam. Besides this, the complete eligibility criteria are provided below. It must be noted that no candidate will be allowed to appear for this exam if in case he/she fails to satisfy any of the given criteria. Once the candidate has gone through the NEET Super Speciality eligibility criteria 2024, he/she may proceed to fill out the NEET SS 2024 Application form

Detailed Eligibility Criteria for NEET SS 2024

Candidates should carefully review the criteria below to check if they meet the requirements for the exam. But remember, meeting these criteria doesn't mean candidates are automatically admitted to Super Speciality courses.

  1. Education Requirements: Candidates need a post-graduate medical degree (MS/ MD/ DNB) from a recognized institution.

  2. Provisional Pass Certificate Allowed: Even if candidates have a Provisional Pass Certificate or a similar document, they can apply for the exam.

  3. Deadline for Showing Qualifications: If candidates don't have the required qualifications yet, they must show proof by the given deadline. If not, they won't be considered eligible.

  4. When Postgraduate Degree Must Be Done: Candidates can only qualify for NEET SS 2024 if they finish their postgraduate degree by November 30, 2024.

  5. What Happens If Not Eligible: If candidates are found ineligible at any stage, they won't be allowed to take the exam. This will also cancel their NEET SS 2024 result if they've taken the exam.

  6. Who Needs to Register: If candidates are from India, they need to be registered with a State Medical Council or the Medical Council of India (MCI). But if they're foreign nationals, they can take the exam without MCI registration.

Candidates should make sure they understand these rules well, as they decide if they can take part in NEET SS 2024 and if their results will count.

Reservation Policy

According to the 1998 Constitution Bench of the Indian Supreme Court Writ Petition (C) No. 350 there is no seat allocation for DM / M.Ch super specialization. Courses. All the candidates will be treated equally and the seat will be divided at equal ratio among the candidates of all backgrounds.

What after Eligibility Criteria?

Once the candidates have gone through the eligibility criteria, they may proceed to fill the application form and verify their documents. Apart from clearing the exam, candidates will have to satisfy other criteria in order to get admission in any of the programs.
