SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2024: The eligibility criteria of the SSC CGL exam have been published by the SSC along with the SSC CGL 2024 exam notification. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) prescribes the SSC CGL 2024 eligibility criteria that applicants must fulfill to become eligible to take the exam. As part of the eligibility conditions, candidates have to satisfy requirements related to age limit, educational qualification, nationality, etc. To become eligible to appear for SSC CGL 2024, candidates must have completed their graduation and should be between the age group of 18 to 30.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will issue the SSC CGL Admit Card 2024 for the Tier I exam. The Tier II exam is set for Sep-Oct, 2024 and it will take place at different exam centers around the country. For candidates who pass the Tier I exam, in the subsequent Tier II exam they will face three papers: Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III, which are held on separate days or shifts. It's mandatory for everyone to appear for Paper-I as well as pass all sections.
SSC CGL full form is Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level. Before filling out the SSC CGL application form, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility norms:
Nationality Criteria
A candidate must be either Indian Citizen or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee (who moved with an intention to permanently settle in India before 1962) or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to permanently settle in India.
Age Limit Criteria
The lower and upper limit of age varies post-wise.
Applicants’ age mentioned in the 10th/12th certificates will be considered.
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the age limit for the post of Tax Assistant (under CBEC Group C). Earlier the age limit was 20 to 27 years, however, now the age limit for this post has been revised to 18 to 27 years.
