SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible for SSC CGL 2025, students must have completed their bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The SSC CGL eligibility graduation percentage required is not given officially. Students who wish to apply for SSC CGL 2025 must check the eligibility requirements beforehand if they wish to fill out the SSC CGL application form 2025.

Students who have graduated from a recognized university and are between the SSC CGL eligibility age of 18 to 32 years are eligible to apply for the Staff Selection Commission CGL exam. The SSC CGL age limit for General category is 18 to 32 years old. Students must be citizens of India, subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees.

Age Limit Criteria

  • The lower and upper limit of age varies post-wise.
  • Your age mentioned in the 10th/12th certificates will be considered.
  • The SSC CGL age limit increased for the post of Tax Assistant (under CBEC Group C). Earlier, the age limit was 20 to 27 years; however, now the age limit for this post has been revised to 18 to 27 years.

SSC CGL Nationality Criteria 2025

The detailed citizenship criteria for SSC CGL is given as follows:

  • A student must be either an Indian Citizen or,
  • A subject of Nepal/Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan refugee (who moved with an intention to permanently settle in India before 1962) or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention to permanently settle in India.
