About ULSAT 2022

UPES has revised the exam dates and now ULSAT 2022 exam will be conducted from August 2, 2022 to August 4, 2022. ULSAT 2022 exam will be conducted online and the ULSAT application form is available on the official website, The last date to fill up and submit the application form is July 31, 2022. ULSAT 2022 LL.M exam is scheduled to be conducted on August 6, 2022.

UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test, also known as ULSAT is a university-level, entrance examination conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun every year in online mode for candidates seeking admission in five-year integrated law courses including BA.LLB, BBA.LLB, B.Sc.LL.B, B.Tech.LL.B and B.Com LLB and 2-year LL.M courses. The LL.M exam pattern is quite different from the other law exams of UPES. The eligible candidates in order to take admission to the various law courses have to clear the group discussion and personal interview rounds.

ULSAT consists of objective-type questions and candidates are asked questions from various subjects such as Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge, and Legal Aptitude.   • Log in: After the registration is completed, candidates will have to log in using their login ID and password sent by the UPES.
  • Fill up the Form: The candidates have to fill up the ULSAT 2022 application form by entering their name, educational qualification, etc.
  • Upload: Applicants have to upload their scanned copies of photograph and signature according to the mentioned size.

ULSAT 2022 eligibility criteria are divided into three categories namely ULSAT score, CLAT/LSAT merit list and Board exam marks. The detailed eligibility criteria for ULSAT 2022 aspiring candidates are given below.

  • For LL.B - Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level exams (10th & 12th).
  • For LL.M - Minimum 50% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary level exams (10th & 12th) and Minimum 50%marks in Graduation with LL.B Degree or equivalent.

CLAT/LSAT Merit List

For BA LLB (Hons)/ BBA LLB (Hons) / BCom LLB (Hons) 

  • 50% Marks in Higher & Senior Secondary (10th & 12th)
  • CLAT AIR ranking up to 15000 / LSAT India Percentile of 60 percentile or above.

For BTech LLB (Hons) 

  • 50% marks in class 10 and 12(Physics, Chemistry & Maths).
  • CLAT AIR ranking up to 15000 / LSAT India score of 60 percentile or above.

For LLM 

  • Minimum 50% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and Minimum 50%marks in Graduation with LLB Degree or equivalent.

ULSAT 2022 Exam Pattern

ULSAT 2022 Admit Card

Before downloading the ULSAT 2022 admit card, candidates have to book a slot for examination. After the slot booking process, the admit card can be immediately downloaded. To download the admit card applicants have to log into the UPES portal using their user ID and password. To book a slot, candidates have to:

  • Visit the official login portal of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun (UPES).
  • Login using your registration ID and password.
  • Select the exam centre and exam date for the slot booking process.
  • Confirm and submit the details.

ULSAT 2022 Result

The ULSAT 2022 result are expected to be out in the 2nd or 3rd week of August, 2022.
