UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test, also known as ULSAT, which was postponed, has been cancelled amid the COVID-19 outbreak. As per a notification on the official website of the University, the admission in the law courses will now be done based on the class 12th marks. Currently, 4th round of UPES Admission process is going on and students are required to apply before September 30, 2020, in order to be eligible for admission in the UPES, Dehradun. The last date to submit the class 10th and 12th marks is October 2, 2020. The merit list of the shortlisted candidates is likely to be declared on 3rd October 2020.
It is a university level, undergraduate entrance examination conducted by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun every year in online mode for the candidates seeking admission in five-year integrated law courses including BA.LLB, BBA.LLB, B.Sc.LL.B, B.Tech.LL.B and B.Com LLB. For the year 2020, the exam has been scraped off and the admission will be merit-based.
ULSAT consists of objective type questions and candidates are asked questions from various subjects such as Language Comprehension, Quantitative & Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude. Candidates interested to get admission in law courses offered by University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) Dehradun have to usually qualify ULSAT and candidates must have 50% marks in 10+2 from a recognized board in order to be eligible for the same.
