ULSAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for ULSAT is specified by the exam conducting authority, i.e University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun (UPES). Those planning to take the university-level entrance test must check the detailed ULSAT eligibility criteria in order to apply for admission in law courses offered by UPES, Dehradun. The ULSAT eligibility criteria mention certain requirements that are based on the academic qualifications, minimum secured marks, and age limit of the candidate who is appearing for the entrance examination. 

The ULSAT eligibility criteria have a significant role to play not only in the application form filling process but also in the admission process of the university. As per the ULSAT eligibility, there is no age bar to appear in the entrance examination, however, it varies as per the different LLB programmes that are offered by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun (UPES). Candidates must make a note that all those who do not satisfy the eligibility norms or requirements of ULSAT prescribed by the official authority will not be allowed to appear in the entrance examination.

Common Eligibility Criteria of ULSAT 2021

Some of the common eligibility norms for ULSAT are mentioned below. Take a look:

  • Only Indian candidates are eligible to apply for ULSAT.

  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from any affiliated Board of Education in India.

  • In order to be eligible for ULSAT, candidates are required to clear class 10 and 12 board examinations with a minimum of 50%.

  • Candidates who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also take ULSAT. However, such candidates have to produce proof of their age in the form of their class 10 mark-sheet. They are also required to produce all the original documents/certificates at the time of counselling/admission.

  • Candidate’s age should not exceed 20 years as on 1st July of the exam year. In case, a candidate belongs to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category, then, the age limit should be 22 years as on 1st July of the exam year.

B.Com  (LLB Hons.) with Specialization in Taxation Laws

Candidates must have a minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)

BBA.LLB (Hons.) with Specialization in International Trade & Investment/Banking, Finance & Insurance

Candidates must have a minimum 50% Marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)

LLM with specialization in Energy Laws

Candidates must have a minimum 50 % Marks at Higher & Secondary Level (10th & 12th) and LLB Degree

B.Tech Energy Technology LLB(Hons.) with specialization in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

  • Candidates must have a minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th).

  • Candidates with minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level

B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering LLB (Hons.) with specialization in Cyber Laws

  • Candidates must have a minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)

 

  • Candidates with minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level
