UPSC Civil Services 2018 Cut-off

UPSC Civil services 2018 Cut-off will be released by examination organising authority i.e. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) after the declaration of the UPSC Civil services final result. The cut-off is the minimum marks that a candidate must secure so as to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round. The UPSC will release the Civil services 2018 cut-off marks for all the three stages under its selection process.

Those who qualify the prelims cut-off are selected to appear in the mains examination. Those who qualify the mains cut-off are called for the interview phase of the examination. Finally, the applicants who qualify the cut-off marks in the interview phase are appointed for various civil services posts across the country.

The final cut-off marks is a combination of Prelims, Mains and Personal Interview. The cut-off marks for prelims and mains will be declared separately on the official website of UPSC. This cut-off score decides whether a candidate will move further in the selection process or get eliminated from the admission process.

How to Check UPSC Civil Services 2018 Cut-Off

Here are some simple steps to check UPSC Civil Services cut-off 2018:

  • Visit the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in

  • On the homepage of UPSC, click on the tab 'Examination'.

  • Then, select the 'Cut-off' tab from the drop-down list.

  • A new page will appear in which cut-off marks for various years will be displayed on the screen.

  • Click on the link for which you want to see the cut-off marks.

  • The next page will display the cut-off marks for various categories.

  • You can check and compare your marks with that of the cut-off.

  • You may also take a print out of the cut-off marks for future reference.

Factors that Determine UPSC Civil Services Cut-off

There are factors that  are considered for determining the cut-off for UPSC Civil Services such as:

  • Number of test-takers
