WB JEMAT 2023 Counselling Process

WB JEMAT 2023 counselling process for phase II will be conducted by the concerned authorities for those candidates who qualified for the examination. The WB JEMAT results for phase II have been released on September 25, 2023. The WB JEMAT seat allotment results for phase I were announced on July 26, 2023. The WB JEMAT phase I choice-filling process started on July 19, 2023. Candidates were able to complete the choice-filling process till July 24, 2023.

The WB JEMAT 2023 Cutoff marks or qualifying marks will be considered when shortlisting candidates for counselling. It must be noted that the candidates have to apply separately for the WB JEMAT 2023 counselling process. After the JEMAT 2023 result and scorecard are released on the official website, the eligible candidates who have been shortlisted on the basis of the result and scorecard are invited for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Once the candidates go through the GD and PI rounds, the authorities will prepare a merit list which will contain the names of the students on the basis of their performance in the written exam, GD and PI rounds which will be followed by the counselling process for WB JEMAT 2023. The WB JEMAT 2023 counselling process will be an online process where the eligible candidates will be able to exercise their options and on the basis of the choices opted by them and previous performance, the seat allocation procedure will be carried out.

Candidates must provide the following details to fill out the WB JEMAT 2023 counselling form:

• Contact details
• Academic qualification and other details

Rank-wise counselling schedule will be made available to the candidates after the GD/PI process is conduceted. 

WB JEMAT 2023 Detailed Counselling Process

Given below is the detailed WB JEMAT 2023 counselling procedure which will be conducted by the authorities after the declaration of the WB JEMAT 2023 result and scorecard:

1. The shortlisted candidates on the basis of the WB JEMAT 2023 result and scorecard will be invited for the GD/PI round. In the Group Discussions (GD), the candidates’ ability to apply reason and logic will be assessed by the concerned officials. In this round, the candidates’ management skills and decision-making ability is highlighted. Similarly, the Personal Interview (PI) round is conducted to evaluate the confidence and overall personality of the candidates. Based on the performance of the candidates in both the GD and PI rounds, a merit list will be prepared for the subsequent WB JEMAT 2023 admission process.

2. Through the performance of the candidates in the GD/PI rounds, the eligible candidates will be invited for the online counselling process for the purpose of seat allotment at various WB JEMAT 2023 participating institutes. During the online counselling process, the candidates will be able to choose from various options available in the drop-down menu. 

3. Based on the performance of the candidates in the GD/PI rounds and choices entered by the candidates, the seats will be allocated to them in various participating institutes. To confirm the seats allocated to them, the candidates have to visit the Institute and complete the requisite steps for confirming their admissions.

Documents Required for WB JEMAT 2023 Counselling

The candidates must not forget to keep the following documents handy while they gear themselves up for the WB JEMAT 2023 counselling process:

• The WB JEMAT 2023 Scorecard

• Class X mark sheet (to be produced as Date of Birth proof)

• Marksheet for Class XII

• Graduation mark sheet (For final year appearing students they must produce their provisional graduation marksheet)

• Caste certificate (If applicable)
