Verification of the Documents:

The next step of the Karnataka PGCET 2024 counselling process involves the verification of the documents. The candidates who have qualified for the entrance examination will have to carry their original documents and their photocopies to the helpline centres to get them verified. The verification of documents will be done as per the schedule. Before coming to the helpline centre, the candidate should confirm the rank ranges, date and time of verification.

They will be issued a document verification acknowledgement card and verification slip which needs to be retained during the entire admission process. After the verification has been done, the original documents will be returned to the candidate and KEA will retain one set of the attested photocopies of all the documents. Once the documents are verified, the candidate’s eligibility will also be simultaneously verified on the same day.

Verification Schedule:

Verification of documents will be done for all the disciplines. However, all the eligible candidates will have to produce original documents with one set of Gazetted Officer attested photocopies of all the original documents and two passport size photographs during the verification process. Only candidates who will become eligible after verification only be considered for entry of options which is the next step of the counselling process. All the details of eligible candidates will be published by KEA on the website at the end of every day after verification. Candidates must note that after verification of documents, they will be given a high-security secret key, which has to be used to register and create a password as per his/her choice for login at the online option entry portal. For this, the candidate will solely be responsible for maintaining the secrecy of the password and secret key. KEA will not take any responsibility in this regard.

Entry of Options:

For counselling, candidates will get a chance to choose the college/colleges and courses of their choice. This entire process is done online, wherein the candidates will have to enter their application number and the unique key printed on the verification slip. Candidates will have to select the course stream, college, and course of their choice. All the details of the college wise, course wise and category wise seats available for allotment will be published on the KEA website. The candidates who are eligible for this will have to enter the course/college of his/her choice from among the seats available which are displayed at the time of the entry of options i.e., college wise, category wise and course wise, discipline-wise. The candidate will be allowed to enter all the options in the discipline to which he/she is eligible. It must be noted by the candidates that there is no limit for entry of options. One may enter any number of options as he/she wishes to exercise on his / her own priority. It is advisable to the candidates that they should enter more options to avoid the disappointment of not securing a seat. Once the options are recorded in the server on the last day and time of the notified schedule in each round will be frozen and only the frozen options will be considered for seat allotment. After entering the options, it is necessary for the candidates to take a printout of the option entered by them in each round once the last date and time for entry of options are over.

Mock Allotment Round:

Once the entry of options is done, based on the real data, mock allotment will be carried out and the allotment status will be hosted on the website of KEA for the information of the candidates. The mock seat allotment is conducted to familiarize the candidates with the seat allotment procedure. In order to verify the status of their allotment, two days time will be given to the candidates. One can change/modify their choices on the basis of the mock allotment result. After ascertaining college and course allotted, if the candidate wishes to change/modify the options, then, he/she can do so within the stipulated date and time and on the basis of the modified entry of options, the real seat allotment process will be conducted.
