AIIMS PG Result 2020

The AIIMS PG July session result will consist of the marks secured by the test-takers in the examination. The marks will be divided section-wise along with the overall percentile. The exam paper consisted of 200 MCQs (multiple-choice questions) covering the topics studied at MBBS level. It is an online-based entrance test conducted for the ones who successfully registered themselves for the examination through the medium described by the exam conducting authority. The centre of the examination was spread across different cities in 24 states of India. 

After the declaration of the result of the AIIMS PG January session, candidates must check the cut-off of AIIMS PG to know about the seat matrix and their position in the list declared by the exam conducting authority. The candidates are also advised to check the counselling process to know the steps they will come across after clearing the cut-off list of AIIMS. It is very important to understand these steps as any mistake would land aspirants towards the cancellation of their candidature.

AIIMS PG 2020 Result

AIIMS PG 2020 result will be announced by AIIMS, New Delhi. The result of AIIMS PG 2020 will be released online for all the candidates who will appear in the entrance exam. Test takers will be able to easily check their AIIMS PG 2020 result by visiting the official website of AIIMS.

The result of AIIMS PG 2020 is available in the form of a rank-wise merit list for all the categories. The rank-wise merit list will consist of candidates' roll number, category-wise and overall ranks obtained by them as well as the percentage score in the exam. Candidates will be called for AIIMS PG first and second round counselling on the basis of the merit list of AIIMS PG.

AIIMS conducts the entrance exam twice in a year for the sessions beginning in the months of January and July to admit candidates in various postgraduate medical courses in M.D./M.S./ M.D.S. (6 years)/ D.M. / M.CH (3 years). Candidates must note that the result of AIIMS PG 2019 is not sent through post or courier. Based on the result of AIIMS PG 2019, candidates are shortlisted for counselling and seats are allocated according to their ranks in the merit list.

As per the result, a total of 3,007 candidates have qualified for the counselling of MD/MS/DM (6 years)/M Ch (6 years) courses. For the counselling of MDS courses, 89 candidates are eligible.

A total of 497 MD/MS and 15 MDS seats in seven institutes located at New Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh will be allocated to qualified on the basis of their AIIMS PG result 2019 and the counselling sessions.

How to View AIIMS PG Result on the Official Website?

Candidates can view and download the AIIMS PG result by following the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of AIIMS.

  • Look for the link available to access AIIMS PG result.

  • Click on the link and AIIMS PG result will be displayed on the screen in the form of a PDF. 

  • The PDF will comprise of a rank-wise merit list with candidates' roll number, category and overall ranks obtained by them.

  • Download the result and take a printout of the same for future use.

AIIMS PG 2020 Rank List / Merit List

The examination conducting authority of AIIMS PG will release a merit list or rank list based on the marks scored by the marks scored by the candidates in the entrance examination. The rank list will be released after the declaration of the AIIMS PG 2020 result. The candidates who have appeared in the entrance will be offered with respective ranks on the basis of merit list. 

Admission to the various postgraduate medical courses offered by the institute is done on the basis of the rank list. The authority calculates merit order on the basis of the performance by the candidates in the particular entrance. Higher the merit order of a candidate the better rank he/she secures. The candidates who will be selected on the basis of merit will then be called to participate in the AIIMS PG 2020 counselling process
