Prepare a Time-Table

Candidates may allot the morning period for Mathematical problems and the evening time can be given to the concepts of Physics. The noon slot can be given to Chemistry. Candidates must make a timetable that eases their exam preparation journey. Keeping a time slot for relaxing and taking a break is also important.
Time Management
Time management should be the utmost priority for CG PET 2025 aspirants. The syllabus that needs to be covered for CG PET is quite vast and therefore managing time during the preparation of the exam is very important. Always remember to keep a track of the time taken to cover a particular section or topic of the subject. Follow the timetable made for CG PET preparation and divide the time according to your preparation. Do not plan long study hours and try to include some short breaks between every few hours of study. CG PET previous year question papers are out for the candidates of the examination. Candidates who are planning to appear for the examination must practice the question papers on a regular basis. Candidates would get an idea about the syllabus and exam pattern of CG PET 2025 if they solve the questions papers regularly. It is very important to understand the number of questions and the marks division of the paper so that preparing for the same can become easier and quicker. Once candidates solve the CG PET previous year's question papers, they become confident about the exam.

The difficulty level of CG PET will be similar to that of the 12th standard qualifying examination, as the syllabus will be similar. Candidates will be examined based on their knowledge of topics from the subjects of Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
CG PET's Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry questions are generally from the NCERT textbooks and its Chemistry questions are very easy. NCERT is sufficient for the CG PET preparation. And, if candidates are scoring well enough in their pre-boards, for example 85+ in PCM, then cracking PET is considered to be very easy.
Candidates who have prepared well for their class 12th Board Examination(irrespective of whichever board they belong to) can find the CG PET examination to be very easy. The only thing which is important to note is that CGP ET comprises basic questions, which is why it is very important to understand the topics and their applications.
According to the CG PET eligibility criteria, candidates from the General category are required to have an aggregate marks of 45% in the 12th standard or equivalent qualifying examination to apply for the CG PET exam.
According to the official CG PET exam pattern, the CG PET paper will consist of a total of 150 objective multiple-choice questions prepared from the topics of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. There will be 50 questions each from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Questions asked in the CG PET paper are of objective type. For every question 4 or 5 options are provided out of which only one has to be selected. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded.
The candidates of CG PET should qualify in all the three subjects: Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Chemistry with at least 45% marks. The minimum percentage of marks fixed for SC/ST/OBC and PWD category candidates is 40%.
Candidates are suggested to study the entire CG PET syllabus to have a higher scope of performing well in the CG PET entrance examination. While the candidates can allot more importance to the important chapters and topics which have proved to have more weightage, they are advised not to ignore the other units.
