The CG PET 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 14, 2026, as announced at vyapamcg.cgstate.gov.in. It will be conducted as a pen-and-paper-based test. The CG PET 2026 application form was released by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board on March 2, 2026. Registrations will continue till March 27, 2026. The CG PET 2026 admit cards will be made available on May 4, 2026. The provisional answer key will be released in the third week of May 2026 and the objections window will also be opened in the last week of May 2026. The final answer key and results will be made available in June 2026. The Counselling rounds will take place in multiple rounds after results (typically 3-4, including spot rounds) from June-August 2026 and will be managed by DTE Chhattisgarh.

The Chhattisgarh Pre-Engineering Test, popularly known as CG PET, is organized by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) every year. It is a state-level entrance exam that is conducted for admissions to Undergraduate Engineering courses offered by the participating institutes of CG PET. Admission to various participating institutes of CPEB is offered on the basis of JEE Main score as well.

CG PET Counselling Dates 2026 

CG PET eligibility criteria 2026 will be defined by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board on its official website. Students who are willing to take the CG PET 2026 exam must meet the requirements and conditions in the eligibility criteria for the exam. 

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the class 12 or equivalent exam from an accredited board, with mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects. Candidates may have optional subjects like chemistry, biology, biotechnology, and technical vocational courses for their class 12 or equivalent exam.
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates from the general category must have received at least 45% in the qualifying exam. In the qualifying exam, the SC, ST, OBC, female, and PwD reserved categories must have at least 40% marks in aggregate.
• Age: The applicant cannot be younger than 17 years old. However, there is a 30-year maximum age limit. There is a year's age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories.  

Candidates have to first register themselves to fill out the application form for CG PET 2026. As per the official notification, the candidates can download their admit cards from the profile login page on the official website or through the admit card link sent to their registered mobile number. CG PET counselling 2026 is conducted online in three rounds including one spot round of counseling. Step 1: Registration 

Candidates have to register for CG PET 2026 by providing the necessary details.

Step 2: Upload Required Documents 

In the second step, candidates are required to upload the required documents in the specified format.

The CG PET counselling fee has to be paid in online mode through credit card /debit card or Internet banking facilities

Step 4: Choice Filling & Locking 

• The candidates have to fill the preferred choice of institute and courses
