Predict NowNBE publishes the FMGE 2024 eligibility criteria on its official website. The FMGE 2024 eligibility criteria provide aspirants with a sound understanding of the exact guidelines and procedures to be followed to appear for the entrance exam. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria of FMGE 2024 are allowed to fill in their application forms. The National Board of Education (NBE) has prescribed the list of eligibility criteria to appear for the FMGE 2024 June session, for both Indian citizens as well as Overseas citizens of India. This exam is mainly conducted for applicants who wish to start their medical practice in India.
Once aspirants clear the FMGE 2024 exam, then they will be eligible to get registered under the Medical Council of India or the State Medical Council. FMGE is conducted in two parts, twice a year, i.e., in June & June. Aspirants can appear for either one of the tests. Candidates who fail to clear the exam in one session can aspire for the next session of the FMGE exam. There is no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can make for FMGE. All applicants must be well acquainted with the NBE-prescribed FMGE 2024 eligibility criteria prior to appearingfor the exam. Thus, here are the required eligibility criteria for Indian candidates and overseas aspirants for FMGE 2024 exam:
The applicant must be a citizen of India or an overseas citizen of India and they must have a minimum medical qualification of an MBBS degree or equivalent, as suggested by the Indian Embassy.
Candidates must hold a recognized qualification for enrollment as a medical practitioner.
Aspirants must submit results of their final examination of primary medical qualification declared on or before 31st October 2024. It should also clearly specify that the aspirants have been declared PASS /QUALIFIED in the final examinations in all mandatory required courses. Failure to provide this proof will lead to disqualification from the FMGE 2024 exam.
Candidates can check the Screening Test Regulation, Eligibility Certificate Regulation and Regulation on Graduate Medical Education issued by the MCI (Medical Council of India).
Aspirants who have obtained their primary medical qualification from Pakistan will be subject to their security clearance held by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Govt of India. The result of the candidates for FMGE shall only be declared on receipt of MHA security clearance as curated by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt of India direction vide Letter No C.18018/09/2004-MEP dated 26-11-2018.
While most of the students who have completed their medical undergraduate degrees from any foreign country need to pass the FMGE 2024 exam to practice Western medicine in India, the graduates of a few countries are exempted from this requirement. Those countries are as follows:

Australia
Canada
United States of America
United Kingdom
The FMGE is a screening test for Indian aspirants and Overseas candidates who wish to get provisional or permanent registration with the Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council. Candidates can appear for FMGE 2024 exam as many times as they want. However, they need to meet all the eligibility criteria of the FMGE 2024.
Aspirants who fulfill the FMGE 2024 eligibility criteria can feel free to apply for the screening test. Candidates need to fill out the FMGE 2024 June Application Form from by visiting the official website, entering details, uploading documents, paying fees, and submitting the information. The FMGE eligibility criteria for Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India is decided by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). In case any candidate submits/produces any kind of false or incomplete information/ documents to the officials. his/her candidature will be canceled and will not be considered under any circumstances.
If any candidate fails to produce or upload the necessary documents within the stipulated time frame, will not be allowed as per the FMGE 2024 eligibility criteria for the January session.
If the applicant is receiving their primary medical degree/certificate after the FMGE 2024 application date is over, they will not be considered as per the FMGE 2024 eligibility criteria.
