MAH-MCA-CET 2018 Counselling Process

MAH-MCA-CET 2018 counselling process will start in the 3rd week of June 2018. It is organised under the guidance of Commissioner, State CET Cell, Govt. of Maharashtra. DTE Maharashtra organises MAH-MCA-CET counselling through CAP (short for Centralized Allotment Process). There are three rounds in the CAP. The first two rounds of CAP are open to candidates from Maharashtra State and Outside of the Maharashtra State (OMS), the third round of CAP is done only for the candidates of Maharashtra state.

Candidates are advised to check their MAH-MCA-CET 2018 Result before they start with the registration for the MAH-MCA-CET 2018 counselling process. Those who have cleared the examination are considered to be eligible for the counselling session. These candidates must fill the online counselling application form and pay the requisite counselling fee.

Steps in MAH MCA CET 2018 Centralised Admission Process

  • Visit the official website.

  • On the official website, the category-wise seats in various institutes are displayed for CAP Rounds I and II.

  • Fill up the application form for CAP rounds.

  • After that, select the institution's priority in the decreasing order of preference.

  • After filling the preferred form, you will be allotted an institute by DTE authority.

  • You will have a choice to either ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ the seat allotted.

  • Once you accept the seat, you should visit the allotted institute for verification of documents and certificates.

  • The admission process finally completes after successful verification of documents.

First Round of Counselling:

  • You can fill the counselling application form with the course and institution of your choice.

  • Those of you, who are allotted seats after the 1st round of CAP, have to report to the allotted institute to confirm admission.

  • If you are not satisfied with the allotted seat, then you can wait for the following rounds of counselling.

Second Round of Counselling:

  • If you have not been allotted your preferred seat and if you are not satisfied with the seat allotted to you, then, in this case, you will be eligible for the 2nd round of counselling.

  • At the conclusion of second round of counselling, you have to report at the institute allotted to complete all the necessary procedures for confirmation of admission.

Third Round of Counselling:

  • The seats of any category or branch, which are not filled after the first two rounds of counselling, are made available for the 3rd round of CAP. These seats are treated as General category seats.

  • The third round of counselling is organised offline and is open only for candidates of Maharashtra state.

  • After successful allotment of seats, one has to confirm admission by reporting to the allotted institute on the scheduled day.
