The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) commenced the NMAT by GMAC 2025 registration process on August 1, 2025, on its official website — mba.com. The registration deadline for NMAT 2025 was October 10, 2025. After completing the NMAT 2025 application form fill-up, you will be able to access the scheduling window. Scheduling of the exam has also begun on August 1 and continued till October 14, 2025. Once you have appeared for the NMAT 2025 exam once, you can apply for a retake using the NMAT retake registration window from November 6, 2025. Along with the retake registration, the retake scheduling window will also be opened by GMAC. Applications for NMAT 2025 retake can be done till December 16, 2025. You get a chance to appear for the exam a maximum of three times during the window period.

To apply, you will have to register, create an account, enter your details, choose schools of your preference, and pay the application fee. This test is available for anyone who has a bachelor's degree. The NMAT 2025 scores are recognised by premier institutes such as NMIMS, SPJIMR, and TAPMI, among others. The steps to fill out the NMAT 2025 Application Form mentioned above are described in detail below. While following these steps, make sure you go through the instructions given on the official website as well to avoid any mistakes.

Step 1: Registration

• Visit the NMAT home page and click on the Register Now link or visit register.nmat.org

• Create an account by entering the following details

  • Name

  • E-mail Address

  • Mobile Number

  • Country

• After registration is complete, click on the verification link sent to your Email ID.

• The User ID and Password will also be sent to your registered Email ID.

Step 2: Application Form Filling

• Log in to the official website with your User ID and Password.

• You will be taken to your Dashboard, where you can see all of the relevant details related to your exam, including the percentage completion of your NMAT Registration Form.

• Click on the link to access your application form. The application form will have various tabs under which you will be required to enter your complete details.

• Fill in all of the required information in the application form, which will include your Details, Contact Information, Academic Details, Work Experience details, etc.

•  Make sure all of the information entered in the application form is correct and as per your documents.

Step 3: Filling School Preference

• In the NMAT Application Form, you can select up to 5 schools in the order of your preference.

• GMAC will send your scores automatically to these five colleges to consider for further selection rounds.

• If you wish to select more than 5 schools, you will be required to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200 + taxes for every additional school.

Step 4: Uploading Photograph

• You will be required to upload the scanned image of a recent passport-size photograph in the NMAT Application Form.

• The photograph must be in any JPEG/ JPG/ PNG format, and the maximum uploadable size limit is 1 MB.

Step 5: Selecting Exam Mode

• NMAT is conducted over a window spanning multiple weeks. The conducting body provides you with an option to choose your exam mode and timings.

• The available exam modes for NMAT by GMAC are:

  • At the Test Centre

  • Online Proctored at Home

• The test centre mode cannot be changed once you have booked your exam slot, even if you reschedule the exam.

• However, a different test mode can be selected while scheduling a Retake.

Step 6: Paying Application Fee

• Once all of the details have been filled in, you will be required to pay the application fee for NMAT.

• The application fee can be paid online by using any of the available options, which include Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit Card, Internet Banking, and Diners Club.

Step 7: Scheduling the Exam

• Once the application fee has been paid, the option to Book Exam will become available in the dashboard.

• If you have selected At Test Centre as your exam mode, you will be required to choose the Country, City, Test Centre, Date, and Time at which you wish to appear for the exam.

• If you have selected the Online Proctored Test at Home, you will be required to fill up the My Profile selection before moving on to booking your exam Date and Time for NMAT by GMAC.

The NMAT 2025 Admit Card of the candidate will be available to download from the dashboard after the candidate has booked their slot for the exam. Be careful while selecting these details, as rescheduling the exam will incur additional fees.

Prepare All Necessary Details

Candidates must gather all required information beforehand, including educational qualifications, personal contact details, mobile number, work experience, program preferences, email ID, and registered contact number. Having this information readily available will facilitate a smoother application process for NMAT 2025.

Use a Compatible Browser

As per GMAC specifications, the NMAT 2025 application form can only be filled out using Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome. The registration process will proceed only if the applicant's system supports one of these browsers.

Allocate Sufficient Time

Rushing through the NMAT 2025 application form could lead to errors. Candidates are advised to allocate ample time and review the guidelines thoroughly before commencing the application process. Once registered, applicants can log in multiple times to complete the form accurately.

Select Appropriate MBA Programs

Before completing the NMAT by GMAC 2025 application, candidates should review the list of colleges that accept NMAT scores. This can be done well in advance of form submission. Applicants should select their top five MBA programs and institutes accordingly.

NMAT 2025 Retake Registration Process

The steps for NMAT Retake Registration 2025 are as follows.

• Log in to the NMAT official website with your User ID and Password.
• The Retake option will only be available after the exam date.
• Select the Retake section from the dashboard. You will be able to select a different exam mode if required while applying for a retake in NMAT.
• Select your preferred exam mode, date, time, and exam centre (if applicable).
• Pay the retake fees to complete the process.

The following important points must be noted when applying for a retake in NMAT.

• Candidates are allowed a total of 3 attempts for NMAT. Hence, after the first attempt, you can apply for up to two retake attempts.
• If you fail to appear for an exam on any of the booked slots, it will be considered an attempt.
• A retake can only be scheduled after a gap of at least 15 days from the previous attempt.

NMAT 2025 Rescheduling Process

After completing the initial exam, candidates have the flexibility to reschedule their NMAT exam date. However, rescheduling must occur no later than 72 hours prior to the scheduled test, allowing candidates to select a different date, time, and exam centre. Rescheduling is limited to available slots only.

Furthermore, candidates are permitted to retake the entrance exam twice following their original attempt, with an additional fee required for each retake. However, candidates must wait at least 15 days after their original attempt before retaking the NMAT 2025 exam.

The steps to reschedule the NMAT 2025 are:

• Visit the NMAT official site and log in with your User ID and Password.

• From the dashboard, click on the Schedule Exam button.

• You will be presented will the available slots for the exam.

• Select the new date, time, and location (if applicable) for the test. The exam mode cannot be changed while rescheduling.

• Pay the NMAT by GMAC rescheduling fee by using any of the available modes in the dashboard.

NMAT 2025 Application Process for Test Takes with Disabilities

NMAT 2025 accommodates test-takers with disabilities by providing special provisions tailored to their needs, ranging from extended testing time to the allowance of a scribe or personal care assistant. The application process for candidates requiring such accommodations follows a similar procedure to the standard registration, with a few specific adjustments outlined below:

• Indicate Disability Status: During registration, candidates should select "Yes" in the "Are You Differently Abled" section of the form.
• Provide Documentation: Upload relevant supporting documents, which may include a Disability Certificate, Scribe Consent Form, Scribe Non-Disclosure Agreement, Personal Care Assistant Consent Form, and Non-Disclosure Agreement. Multiple documents can be uploaded if necessary, along with any additional information.
• Assessment and Response: The conducting body will assess the request, which typically takes about 15 days (or longer during peak periods). The response will be sent to the candidate's registered email address.
• Slot Booking: After approval, candidates can book their exam slots after completing the fee payment.
• In case of Request Denied: If the request is denied, candidates will receive a notification and can continue booking a slot for the standard exam. The conducting body may request further information to aid in its decision-making process.
• Request Reconsideration: Candidates have the option to submit a request for reconsideration. However, GMAC retains the right to decide on the accommodation request.

NMAT 2025 Application Form Correction

Applicants should note that they can change all information in the NMAT 2025 Application Form except their Email ID, Mobile Number, Date of birth, and Address Details. Here are the steps for the NMAT 2025 application form correction:

• Go to the official website of NMAT 2025.
• On the 'Homepage' of NMAT by GMAC, click on the tab "Test Takers".
• After that, you will be redirected to a new page.
• Click on the ‘Form Correction’ link.
• Fill in the credentials and log in to the official website, such as username and password
• After successful login, edit the required fields.
