SRM University conducts the SRMJEEE counselling process to offer admission to B.Tech courses based on the marks and ranks achieved in the SRMJEEE examination. The counselling process is conducted in multiple stages, including choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification. The SRMJEEE counselling is held online following the announcement of the SMRJEEE result. 

SRM University conducts the Phase 1 SRMJEEE counselling online, generally in the month of May, a few days after the completion of the first phase of the examination. The counselling process starts with the SRMJEEE 2026 choice filling. Based on the choices, the SRMJEEE 2026 seat allotment is released. Stepwise SRMJEEE 2026 Counselling Procedure

The following are the steps involved in the counselling procedure of SRMJEEE 2026. Students are advised to go through the following steps to avoid any kind of inconvenience. 

• Students selected for the counselling process need to visit the official website - admissions.srmist.edu.in

• Using the Applicant’s Dashboard, students need to fill in their Application Number, DOB, Program applied for and Rank and download their Counselling Call Letter

• Then, students will have to pay an amount of Rs. 1,10,000/- (which includes the Registration cum Counselling Fee of Rs. 10,000/- and Part of the first year’s Tuition Fee) for the Provisional Allotment Letter

• Students need to pay the fee before reporting to the counselling venue via online mode i.e., E-Pay facility

• Students can also bring a Demand Draft for Rs. 1,10,000/- drawn in favour of “SRMIST” payable at Chennai

• Students will then have to report for the counselling process at the venue, date and time mentioned on the Call Letter

Note - The Counselling cum Registration Fee is Non-transferable and Non-refundable under any circumstances.

Documents Needed for SRMJEEE 2026 Counselling Process and Choice Filling

Students must bring along the following documents at the time of the counselling process. Absence of any of the following documents might cause the cancellation of admission for the student.

• SRMJEEE 2026 Rank card

• SRMJEEE 2026 Call Letter

• SRMJEEE 2026 Admit Card/Hall ticket of the +2 board examination

• Mark sheet of Class XII or any equivalent examination (if results are announced)

• Mark sheet of Class X as proof of date of birth

• Original as well as a photocopy of Photo ID proof (PAN, Aadhar and Passport) 

• Receipt of payment made through either online (E-Pay facility) mode or offline mode (Demand Draft)

• A cancelled cheque with the name of the Student/Parent/Grand Parent printed on it.

You are instructed to enter your desired colleges and courses carefully, since seats will be allotted based on the preferences entered. You can participate in the subsequent round of SRMJEEE counselling 2026 if you are dissatisfied with the seat allocation. On the other side, students can move on with the document verification procedure and payment of the admission fee if they are content with the course and campus allotted to them in the initial phase.
