SRM Institute will share a detailed SRMJEEE exam pattern 2026 on its official website, srmist.edu.in. The institute revised the SRMJEEE exam pattern last year, and the changes are expected to apply for the upcoming session as well. As per the new pattern, SRMJEEE 2026 exam will be conducted in online mode for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes, in which a total of 130 questions will be asked. The SRMJEEE 2026 exam will include MCQ-type questions from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Aptitude, English, and Mathematics/Biology. Each question will have 4 possible answers, of which you must select the right one. As per the exam pattern of SRMJEEE, students are to attempt questions from 5 sections. While the Physics, Chemistry, English, and Aptitude sections are common to all, the Mathematics and Biology sections are specific to PCB/PCM students. Physics: The section comprises 35 questions worth 1 mark each. All the questions are of an objective/MCQ type. The difficulty level of the questions asked in this section is similar to the 10+2 level.
Chemistry: The section includes a total of 35 MCQ-type questions carrying 1 mark each. The level of difficulty is typically the same as in the 10+2 level.
Mathematics/ Biology: The Mathematics/ Biology section carries the highest number of questions and marks allotted. Students are to attempt a total of 40 questions of 1 mark each from this section. The difficulty level of the objective-type questions asked is somewhat similar to the XI and XII grade standards. It must be noted that students aiming for B. Tech courses must attempt the Mathematics section, while those aspiring for Biomedical/ Biotech/ Biotech (Genetic/Regenerative) courses must attempt the Biology section.
Aptitude: The total number of questions and marks allotted to the Aptitude section is 10. This particular section aims to test the student's aptitude based on the general topics of the 10+2 level.
English: The least number of questions and marks is allotted to the English section. Students are to attempt 5 questions, each carrying 1 mark from this portion. This part is included in the SRMJEEE syllabus 2026 to assess the student's grammar and vocabulary.
