UPSC ESE 2020 Exam Pattern

The UPSC ESE 2020 exam pattern gives students an idea of how exactly the paper will be framed. The number of questions, total marks, exam mode, test duration and marking scheme of the examination are the things to look for in a pattern. After clearing the Stage-I Preliminary Examination, the candidates will appear for Stage-II Mains Examination. If the candidate fails to clear the exam, then he/she will not be allowed to sit for the Mains. Prelims are further sub-divided into Paper 1 and Paper 2 Similarly, for Mains there are subdivisions Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who will clear Stage-I and Stage-II will be eligible for Stage-III.  Stage-III is the Personality Test round, which is the interview round of ESE.
