ESE 2022 Paper Analysis: The ESE exam for GS Paper I and Paper II for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics branches was successfully conducted on 20th February 2022. The ESE Prelims Paper I is held in the Forenoon Session (10:00 AM-12:00 PM), which is common to all branches, while the branch-specific Paper II is held in the Afternoon Session (2:00 PM-5:00 PM). Overall Difficulty Level of ESE Paper 1 was Moderate to Difficult.
Current Affairs had the maximum weightage of 15 marks.
ESE Paper-1 had mostly theoretical questions in the examination this time.
The assertion and reasoning questions were very less compared to previous years ie. 4 questions were asked in the examination.
A new type of question (Passage type question) was asked in the examination.
The Paper structure was very similar to the previous year paper.
Reasoning and Engineering Mathematics has a similar weightage of 15 and 14 marks each.
