To take the computer-based test from the centre, candidates are required to carry their XGMT admit cards, also known as the X-GMT hall ticket. Candidates will not be allowed admission to the exam hall if they do not have their XGMT admit card. The XGMT 2026 exam admit card will include important information, such as personal details submitted while filling out the application form, the exam date, information on the test centre, and more. On the day of the X-GMT 2026 exam, officials at the examination centre will verify these details.

The XIM University conducted the XGMT 2026 exam on January 25, 2026. The XGMT exam dates were also listed on the X-GMT 2026 admit card. The XGMT 2026 exam was conducted in Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a Computer Based Test (CBT) with MCQs for 2 hours. Questions were asked from Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, and Emotional Quotient and General Awareness. For one correct answer, +3 marks are awarded. 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. No marks were deducted for unattempted questions.
XIM University publishes the XGMT result as a scorecard, rank card, merit list, or rank list. Candidates may either login to download their rank card or score card or download the XGMT merit list in PDF format, depending on their availability. Candidates who meet the requirements will be shortlisted for the WAT and PI stages of the admissions process. Candidates must have their XGMT scorecard with them when they appear for the WAT and PI rounds.

The dates for the WAT & PI rounds for XGMT 2026 will be notified to the candidates in advance. Candidates who qualify for the X-GMT 2026 exam with the minimum cutoff marks released by XIM University, Bhubaneswar, are considered eligible to take part in the X-GMT selection process for MBA admission. At the time of the selection rounds, candidates must download and bring their X-GMT 2026 scorecard. The final scores are calculated taking into consideration the candidate's performance in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.

The programmes offered by XIM University include MBA-Business Management [MBA-BM], Executive MBA-Business Management [EMBA-BM], MBA-Human Resource Management [MBA-HRM], MBA-Rural Management [MBA-RM], MBA-Sustainability Management [MBA-SM], MBA-Urban Management & Governance [MBA-UMG], and Master of Management Studies (Business Finance) [MMS-BF], etc.
All MBA/MMS-BF/Executive MBA shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a Group Discussion (GD) and Writing Ability Test (WAT), if the selection process is conducted offline. It will then be followed by a Personal Interview, as part of the admissions process (PI). The dates for the WAT/GD/PI rounds will be announced by XIM University Bhubaneswar on its official website.
Candidates are allowed to apply to multiple programmes by filling out a Common Application Form or Separate/Individual Application Form. Candidates must use a single Login ID and Password for applying to multiple programmes.
Regular MBA and MMS-BF applicants at XIM University are not required to have prior work experience; however, to be considered for executive MBA programmes, applicants must have at least 3 years of professional experience at the executive-level after receiving their qualifying degree in the public, private, or nonprofit sectors, or 5 years of work experience if they are self-employed.
The shortlist of interview candidates of XGMT 2026 will be released on the official website of XIM University that is xim.edu.in. The exact date shall be communicated, once the date for declaration of the result is declared which are expected to be available on or after January 31, 2026.
