About XGMT 2026 Exam

The registrations for the XGMT entrance exam 2026 began on August 26, 2025. Students who wish to take admission to the MBA course in the Xavier Institute of Management for the 2026-28 batch should fill out the XGMT 2026 application form before December 10, 2025, to be considered for admission. As per the official XGMT 2026 notification, the XGMT 2026 exam will be held on January 25, 2026, on Sunday. Students will be able to download their XGMT admit card 2026 from January 20, 2026, onwards. Students will be able to download their XGMT 2026 results tentatively from January 31, 2026.

Students must meet the XGMT 2026 eligibility criteria to sit for the XIM entrance exam. As per the eligibility requirements, students should have completed their Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent examination in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 55% aggregate marks. Students who will be completing their bachelor’s by June 15, 2026, can also apply for the XGMT 2026 exam.

The XGMT entrance exam 2026 will be conducted in the online/computer-based test mode. What is XGMT 2026?

The Xavier Institute of Management General Management Aptitude Test (XGMT) is a university-level entrance exam conducted to offer MBA course admissions in the Xavier Institute of Management (XIM) in Bhubaneswar. Students who wish to take admission to various Master’s programmes offered at XIM Bhubaneswar must appear for either of the entrance exams: CAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, or XGMT.

XGMT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the XGMT entrance exam 2026, students must meet the eligibility requirements mentioned below:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent in any discipline from an accredited university.
  • For the Master of Business Finance (MBF) program, a minimum aggregate score of 60% is required, while all MBA programs require a minimum aggregate of 55%.
  • Candidates currently in the final year of their undergraduate program are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates may apply directly to the MBA in Rural Management (MBA-RM) and MBA in Urban Management & Governance (MBA-UMG) programs without a valid CAT/XAT/GMAT/XGMT score if they have secured the first, second, or third rank in their undergraduate program.
  • Applicants must attach a certificate from the Head of their Institution verifying their rank to their application. However, they will still need to participate in the Personal Interview round.
  • Admission will be automatically revoked if candidates do not meet all the requirements for obtaining their degree by June 15, 2026.
  • After enrolling in a program at Xavier University, candidates are not permitted to sit for an exam administered by another organization or university.

Mode: The mode of the exam is online. XIM University is responsible for conducting the Xavier Institute of Management General Management Aptitude Test as a computer-based test. 

Duration: The duration of the exam will be 120 minutes. 

Number of sections: There are four sections: Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning (VA & LR), Data Interpretation (DI), Emotional Quotient and General Awareness (EQ & GA). 
The four sections will appear in a random sequence. Sectional time limits are there in the XGMT 2026 exam, which implies a candidate is required to complete a section within a stipulated time. If a candidate has completed a section early, him/her must wait for the next section to begin. The candidate will not be allowed to go back to the already completed section. 

Type of questions: There will be multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the X-GMT 2026 question paper.

Language of question paper: The X-GMT question paper 2026 will be in English only.

Marking Scheme: +3 marks are awarded for one correct answer.
                                1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.
