CEED counselling is the process of assigning seats to candidates, whereas the test is the process of evaluating the candidates' knowledge and ability. The counselling is done online, however, the test is done in person. Candidates in CEED counselling are ranked based on their CEED scores and choice of institutes, whilst candidates in the test are ranked based on their overall performance in the exam.
CEED Counselling is the procedure through which candidates are assigned seats in the eight participating institutes' Master of Design (M.Des) programmes. The counselling procedure is done online, and candidates must register on the official CEED website. IIT Bombay will publish the dates for the counselling procedure in due course.
- CEED Score: The CEED score is determined by the candidate's performance on both sections of the test. The CEED score is used to rank applicants to the participating institutes.
- CEED Counselling: CEED counselling is a two-round procedure, with Round 1 consisting of seat allotment based on the candidate's CEED score and institute preference, and Round 2 consisting of seat assignment based on the candidate's rank and the availability of seats in the institutes.
