AEEE 2020 Counselling will be started from the second week of May 2020. The counselling procedure will be commenced soon after the publication of the rank list. It will be necessary to secure rank to be eligible for the counselling. The counselling will be carried out at Amrita's three campuses in Amritapuri, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru. There will be a total of four AEEE 2020 B.Tech counselling sessions at different time slots. Candidates are advised to keep all their documents handy to avoid last-minute tension and panic situation.
Candidates will be offered admission to the academic programme based on their academic preferences and based on All India Ranks / Score of JEE (Mains) – 2020 or based on the rank secured in AEEE 2020.
The counselling process will involve Registration for counselling by paying counselling charges, academic preference submissions, Allotment of Seat, Acceptance of Seat Offered, Payment of Fees and Verification of Documents. The allocation of the seat will be done separately for candidates with AEEE 2020 rank and JEE Mains 2020 rank/score. Candidates are advised to visit the website regularly for continuous updates on the AEEE 2020 counselling process. The university may admit an AEEE 2020 candidate having a good score in JEE Mains 2020 if they get a better option of academic preference.
AEEE counselling will be done separately for each category i.e. on the basis of SC / ST and general rank. According to the University norms, seats for SC / ST are earmarked.
The registration for counselling will start after a few days of the publication of AEEE 2020 rank list. Any candidate who will secure rank will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Also, the Registration for counselling for JEE Mains 2020 candidates will start after a few days of the publication of JEE Mains 2020 results.

Stage 1: Registration:
Go to the official website of Amrita University to download the call letter for AEEE 2020 counselling.
Provide your Registration number and Date of Birth. (The name of the applicant will be as per the qualifying examination records and Date of Birth will be valid and meet the eligibility as mentioned in AEEE 2020 eligibility criteria.
The counselling call letter will appear on the screen.
Download and take a print out of AEEE 2020 counselling for future references.
Registering for counselling doesn’t guarantee a seat or admission. Counselling fee is refunded if the seat is not allotted due to non-availability of the seat.
The software automatically locks the academic preferences after the deadline.
Stage 2: Seat Allotment:
The seat is allotted in accordance with the rank/score, availability of seat in the academic preferences as submitted by the candidate. The allotment is done two days after the last date of registration for counselling.
A trial allotment is done before the actual allotment.
The admission is confirmed only after the verification of the document, to ensure that the candidate meets all the eligibility requirements. In order to complete the document verification process, the candidates are required to produce the following documents in the original:
Provisional Seat Allotment letter
Seat Acceptance letter.
Class 10 Marksheet
Class 12 Examination Admit Card and Marksheet
AEEE 2019 Admit Card (With Signature of Invigilator) or
JEE Mains 2019 Score Card
Caste Certificate such as SC / ST / BC / MBC / OBC
Transfer Certificate and Certificate from the Institution where candidate studied Class 12
Photocopies will not be accepted as proof of any data.
If the caste certificate is in a language other than English, must be certified/attached by Notary Public
If Transfer certificate is not issued so far, a letter from the Principal to this effect is to be submitted stating the name of the Higher Secondary School.
Stage 3: Seat Acceptance:
After accepting the seat and paying the tuition fee and if the candidate fails to submit the original certificates at the time of document verification, seat already allotted is cancelled and the amount paid is refunded after processing charges.
Candidates can download the Provisional Seat Allotment Order after making the payment.
There are various stages of allotment for filling the vacant seats. Candidates are considered for the sliding option towards an academic preference of higher choice only if the fees are paid.
Option 1: Final: The candidate is satisfied with an allotment and no further changes are needed.
Option 2: Sliding: The candidate is interested in changing the branch within the same institution in the second allotment.
Option 3: Waiting List: This option is only for those who can not get a seat in the first allotment and want to be considered for the next allotment.
After making the payment, candidates are required to upload the plus two marks certificate/statement & transfer certificate and community certificate in the case of SC/ST category. Original copies of this uploaded document will be produced at the time of document verification, at the reporting centre on the date allotted to each candidate.
The final process in the confirmation of seat is the document verification process. The candidate will attend the document verification process along with the parent or guardian.
The withdrawal is allowed till the last date of the admissions. Refund policies are in accordance with government rules. Candidates who have withdrawn cannot be considered for further seat allocation.
